The hygienist was excellent. Dr. Holness was very patient and took a lot of time going over my treatment needs. I suddenly realize there is a divide in what the Dentist says and how I understand it. It's like telling your hair dresser you want to cut your hair but you really meant a trim. Then becoming upset when more was taken off than anticipated. I say all that to say this place has brought me to a level of enlightenment where my dental care and needs are concerned and I'm very appreciative for it.

Dr. Holness earned her bachelor's degree from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama and her dental degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. After graduation, she worked for several years as an associate dentist in both general and pediatric practices in the DC/Baltimore metro area. Her belief in the connection between wellness dentistry and overall health informs all the services she provides. She assembled a team at Bowie Dental Wellness that shares her mission of providing gentle, compassionate, affordable dentistry for your entire family.
Dr. Holness has taken numerous postgraduate education courses that allow her to incorporate the newest techniques and technologies into her practice and give you the healthy, beautiful smile of your dreams. Her most recent training in laser dentistry means painless, non-surgical gum treatment for many patients. Her commitment to lifelong education means she is constantly evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide her patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort. She was nice and helpful during my routine examination but Dr. Holness was a little impatient during my crown install. I explained to her the mouth guard was uncomfortable and was probably too small. She got annoyed and ignored my request for a larger size. I felt like I was swallowing my tongue and the appointment was very uncomfortable. Needless to say, that was my final visit to her office.

Dr. Holness and her team are just what I was looking for. My first visit with Dr. Holness was incredible. From the time I made the appointment and the admin assistant called to confirm, to the pleasant and professional demeanor when I arrived at the office, to the work the dental hygienist did while explaining all that she was doing, to Dr. Holness and her professionalism and bedside manner, to the financial person and not to mention the state of the art equipment and the beautiful atmosphere. All I can say is AWESOME!!!!!!!! I will be referring family, friends and colleagues without a doubt!

Dr. Holness' office is a very professional environment. The staff are courteous and personable. Dr. Holness and her staff explained in layman's terms the procedures they were taking to deal with issues involving my teeth, which greatly reduce my anxiety. It was my 1st visit & it was a very pleasent experience. Not only was customer service wonderful the level of knowledge & professionalism was fantastic. She also provided me with dental knowledge that was very informative. I also appreciate the technology used to view/communicate my exam results. My experience with Dr. Holness and her technician was very professional: From the initial x-rays, to cleaning and consultation with regards to my teeth and my individual treatment plans.
