Dr. Appelsies grew up in Indiana and completed both undergraduate and graduate studies at Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!). While in dental school, he received a scholarship from the US Navy that gave him the opportunity to serve our country for four years after dental school. During that time, he served as a Lieutenant providing dental care to active duty Marines and Sailors at Camp Pendleton in California.
Dr. Appelsies was recently selected as one of the Top 40 Dentists Under 40 by Incisal Edge Magazine. He believes that much of his success is due to the fact that he understands the importance of including his patients as an active participant in their treatment. By building a foundation with his patients based on trust, he is able to build long-lasting relationships that will allow his patients to receive the top-quality, long-term dental care that they deserve.
