Dr. Erika V. Burley received her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Southern Illinois University. She completed her general practice residency at the Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Administration Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, and then served as an associate in Fayetteville, North Carolina, for three-and-a-half years. Following this, Dr. Burley established her current practice in Charlotte, assuming a Cotswold dental practice that had been in existence for nearly thirty years.
She is a member of several prestigious dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society. She has a passion for her work and is always trying to improve her skills, which is why she devotes approximately 100 hours a year to continuing education. She truly wants the best for her patients.
Dr. Burley believes in giving back to the community. This is why she works with “Communities in Schools,” a program designed to help children who are in need of dental care. She also works closely with Charlotte-Mecklenburg School, helping to educate children about oral hygiene in a fun, caring manner.
