Dr. Yazdani earned a B.A. in International Affairs with a minor in Biology from George Washington University. After graduation, Dr. Yazdani worked as a research assistant at Walter Reed for a year. She then proceeded to Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery where she earned a D.D.S. degree. She also pursued a Masters in Public Health at Columbia University School of Public Health.Following graduation, Dr. Yazdani acquired her residency training in General Dentistry at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Since then, she has worked in private practices in Wind Gap, PA, Fair Oaks and Vienna, VA. Dr. Yazdani also held the position of Clinical and Research Instructor at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery for two years. She conducted research and published papers on the effect of Menopause on Periodontal Disease and the Presence of Oral Pathogens in Children and Women Diagnosed with AIDS.She is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern VA Dental Society, and Washington Iranian Dental Society. She is board certified in the Northern Eastern Regional Boards and Southern Eastern Regional Boards and has held Dental Licenses in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Dr. Yazdani is a certified Lumineers and ZOOM Dentist. Dr. Yazdani continually earns C.E. credits to enhance her Dental knowledge. She is a strong believer in preventive Oral Health and its positive effect on the overall health of an individual.Dr. Yazdani is passionate about wellness and nutritional health. As a health care provider, she is concerned with the high rate of obesity in the US. For this reason, she incorporates nutrition in her deliverance of oral health care especially pediatric patients. For patients who are overweight and have conditions such as Diabetes, High Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure, she offers a medically supervised diet program.
