Qualifications and Experience
This is the story of why two generations of dentists makes all the difference when it comes to choosing a dentist. For nearly 30 years in Queens, the Caiafa family’s distinguished reputation for fine restorative dentistry has been well known to those in the area. The history of their practice traces back to the 1960's, when Dr. Gene Caiafa, Sr. completed dental training during one of this era’s most competitive periods for new dentists. Building a thriving, successful practice from scratch, without partners or start-up capital, was not easy then. Yet Dr. Gene, Sr., managed to pass along his professional dedication to his son, Dr. Gene, Jr., who carries the torch today. Continuing this tradition, Dr. Gene Caiafa, Jr. brings to the practice his own preeminent training in state-of-the-art approaches to cosmetic dentistry. This background, coupled with their inheritance of old-fashioned patient care values, presents a powerful benefit to patients seeking the best of both worlds – tradition and technology. Yes, there are hundreds of dentists to choose from today. And there are many dedicated and fine artisans among their ranks. But finding a practice with a distinct and tangible difference – one that costs the patient nothing additional – makes all the difference when it comes to keeping healthy. Affordable quality dentistry is a Caiafa family tradition. Contact our New York City and Queens cosmetic dentistry practice today.

Wait time is a little long, but I can’t hold that against them. This office has a large patient volume and is great at getting patients treated quickly once they are brought back to a room.
My first appointment was for a dental cleaning. I called to confirm my appointment and they asked that I come in an hour later to help them out. I agreed. When I came in at the new scheduled time I had to wait over two hours. I had to come back for a filling and had to wait 1.5 hours to have the work done. I do not feel that my time was respected at all. Additionally, the whole office seemed disorganized. Aside from the wait, when some doctor came to do my filling he was going to do the wrong tooth because he couldn’t read the previous doctor’s handwriting. It definitely did not make me feel confident in the work they were about to do. Overall, terrible experience both visits and I would not recommend anyone ever come here.
First time patient and best dental visit ever.
The staff at the office are very friendly and professional. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very knowledgeable and interested in my needs/concerns. Though Dr. Caiafa only met with me for a few minutes, he was very polite.
excellent doctor, professional and helpful into addressing the problem and how to proceed with the follow ups. the only issue was the wait time (took about an hour and half to b seen). besides that, excellent.
long wait, but all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a bit jarring how open the rooms are.
The dentist is ok but the staff, the front desk awful .
I liked the dentist very much and his technician was very nice as well. The one thing I didn't like was that the woman from the front desk initially told me that I could only do a consult and xrays on my first visit and would have to return for my cleaning. I knew I had no problems and wanted the cleaning at the same time. So if you make an appointment and don't want to return twice I suggest calling to confirm they will allow you to get everything done at the same visit.
Love this office! Recommended by family and I've been going here ever since. Clean, modern office with good team, always respectful.
I had a great experience at Dr, Caiafa's office, they were all nice and professional. The staff was helpful, and worked as fast as they could with the high number of patients they had. My only issue was most likely no fault of their own, but I scheduled through ZocDoc.com, and when I arrived at the appointment (after receiving a confirmation email) the office had no record of it, and I had to wait until they could fit me in.
Dr.Caiafa is a great dentist almost painless procedures great with people
Dr. Caiafa was very kind and caring. He explained the x-rays in detail and discussed possible treatment options without "forcing" me to go with one or the other. I appreciate that in my physician.
The workers there are very unfriendly. I like going to a place where they don't stare at you with a frown. They don't give proper information about further procedures. They told me I needed to et certain procedures done and gave me no information about cost and health coverage and when I should follow up. Very unprofessional changing my dentist today.
Amazing experience, and I should know since I've seen a fair amount of dentist. They have gentle hands and really care for their staff.
I had a great visit at Park Dental Care. The team there was all very friendly and I was very pleased with my experience. I am happy to have found them through ZocDoc.
As usual great. The entire staff worked together to address an issue and were courteous and friendly.
I am terrified of the dentist and Dr. Caiafa was so nice and made me feel so much better. I would recommend him for sure.
Dr.Gene is da man!!
All dentists are excellent with what they do. The only problem with this facility is the wait time. Unless you're a new patient, they take forever to see you! Also, if you go 30mins-1hr prior to your appointment, it won't make a difference because they will make you wait until its your appointment time. Otherwise, they are easily recommended.
Vincent was very informative and personable. Staff was extremely friendly and efficient. Wait time was minimal!
Gene da Man!!!
This office treats people like cattle. The staff has absolutely no respect and do a great job at making you feel like an idiot.
He was very professional and smart. He seemed kind and cared a lot about helping.
I waited an hour then was walked in then waited an additional 30 minutes before I even was xrayed. My cleaning took all of 5 minutes. When she was cleaning I expressed pain didn't even acknowledge it. For the amount of time I waited thought the staff could of been more attentive. Not so rushed. If it wasn't around the block from my house, I never come back.
Because I don't have dental insurance, he only charged me $50 for x-rays.
