Dr. Harding received Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Howard University in Washington, D. C. His professional association memberships include the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Southern Maryland Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Harding’s commitment to excellence and desire to provide only the highest level possible of dental care to his patients, drives Dr. Harding to make sure that he keeps abreast of all the latest techniques, materials, and technology available in Dentistry. Dr. Harding often attends workshops and seminars which have allowed him to complete advanced training and post graduate certification in Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Periodontics.
Dr. Harding uses a comprehensive approach to managing his patients’ needs and encourages his patients to always consider their total health when presenting for their appointments. Dr Harding discourages having a tooth extraction for convenience or financial reasons. Instead, Dr. Harding encourages patients to think in terms total rehabilitation, which should result in better overall health for the patient.
Dr. Harding, a retired U.S. Army Colonel, is married and the proud father of two daughters. Dr. Harding enjoys traveling, tennis, golf, soccer, and music – especially the piano.
In his practice, Dr. Harding performs all phases of dentistry with the help of associate dentists. Services which include hygiene services, root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, and post-implant restorations.

Dr. Harding was quick, competent, and helped me with how to have better habits at home. His administrative staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the dental hygienist I had did not fully clean my mouth, several techniques she used were way more uncomfortable than the dentist office norm, and she did not have a very good bedside manner.

Love Dr Harding and his staff! His exam was comprehensive and thorough - he immediately zeroed in on both major and minor problems (including some that were overlooked or dismissed by a dentist I saw once but didn't return to because of her cursory exam and dismissal of some dental issues). Also love the fact that Dr. Harding is certified in a number of specialties, including prosthodontics and periodontics, which means that I won't need to see multiple specialists. Given all the issues Dr Harding identified on this first visit, I was expecting a hefty price tag to my preliminary treatment plan - but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the cost was reasonable and most of it is covered by my insurance. I know that there are more expensive treatments ahead, but I feel confident that I'm in good hands with Dr. Harding.

I did not have the opportunity to receive treatment from Dr. Harding specifically, since it was only a consultation and initial x-ray appointment, but the physician who treated me was very nice. She was genuinely helpful and wanted to teach me as much as I could handle. Since this was my first dentist appointment, I was certainly nervous, but she was cognizant of this and took great care of me. The staff members were nice as well and honest about my treatment options, in regards to pricing and methodology, so that was a bonus too. I would recommend this office to anyone in Prince George's County, especially if you've never received dental treatment in the past.

I chose this dentist because he had good reviews on zocdoc but after my appointments and receiving an unexpected expensive bill in the mail, I'm a bit dissatisfied. I had no idea that he charged so much for fillings and even with good insurance, it's not covered. He also tried to sell Invisalign to me even though I've never been told I needed something like that by other dentists. I definitely got a weird car salesman vibe from him. He's not a terrible dentist but his office should let their patients know that they'll probably end up with a huge bill.

Dr. Harding and his support staff took time to facilitate a positive experience in spite of the difficult root canal procedure. One of the challenging components was my fear of dentistry, but Dr. Harding not only talked to me, he listened. He accommodated my requests and he shared the steps and X-rays to help me understand what was happening. His dental assistant, Rick, also worked to make me feel comfortable.
As a small child, I was slapped by a dentist-- a step allowed then. Later in life, I have had reactions to medication used for oral surgery and once, when a needle hit a nerve, was unable to open my mouth without manually doing so for neatly one week. All of these experiences heighten my anxiety when I meet a new dentist.
I am thankful for the recommendation to meet Dr. George Harding and his staff.

I didn't actually get to see Dr. Harding, because of a mix up with my insurance. However, I loved the atmosphere, and the receptionist was very warm and helpful. Lastly, the office was clean. I would try and go back.
