I have had a lot of dental work since I was a child. I am now in my 50's. I have been to a lot of dentists in different cities. I find Dr. Davidson's work is among the best. Totally smooth, no snags, makes sure all details are covered. I also got a deep cleaning especially for receding gums that no other dentist had done. It has helped. He is a calm soul yet fast & easy to be with. There is always good music on.

Dr. Gerard Davidson graduated from Howard university in 1987 through a rigorous program for scholars with a combined BS/DDS degree. In 1991, Dr. Davidson matriculated at Johns Hopkins University earning a Master’s degree in Public Health. Within the same year he opened his own practice in downtown Silver Spring and has been there ever since.
Dr. Davidson prides himself on having a Patient-centered practice. While providing the best possible dental care his family-oriented practice provides comprehensive dental from providing a range of services from Cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, crowns, bridgework, root canal therapy, gum treatment, dentures, and also provides appliances that help to alleviate the problems associated with sleep apnea and snoring.
Dr. Davidson has always felt the need to give back to his community, so he serves twice a week at The Montgomery County Public Health clinic for indigent patients providing them the same level of service as with his private practice patients.

It's a small shop in an old building. The dentist does the cleaning himself and uses outdated equipment. Will not be going back.

While Doctor Davidson was thorough, he was also super rough. He constantly stuck my gums with the pick, and kept brushing over them with the toothbrush. When I complained or said ow, he simply went "huh" or "sensitive are you?" And then kept doing the same thing despite my pain. My gums bleed for five minutes after he was done, and my teeth are still super soar 24 hours after my appointment. I would not recommend.
