Dr. Stingley is a native of rural Mississippi where she was inspired to become a dentist at the age of ten. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Biology from Tougaloo College and Jackson State University respectively. Her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree was conferred upon her from the University Of Mississippi School Of Dentistry. She completed a one year Advanced General Dentistry Educational Program in 1993.
Dr. Stingley received laudatory recognition and the army commendation medal for dedicated congressional survey and advance dental treatment to the soldiers of the United States Army, at Fort Benning Ga. She provided comprehensive dental care for children at the Gwinnett County Health Department, and in 1995, established Carter-Rockbridge General Dentistry, P. C.
Her avocation is reading. She enjoys outdoor activities of tennis, gardening, and horseback riding. She and her family are members of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Norcross, GA.
Dr. Stingley is a respected member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
She plays a proactive role in the efforts to build a solid foundation for the continued growth and prosperity of Gwinnett County. She served as chairperson of the Board of Trustee of the Four Corners Primary Care Centers, Inc which was established November 2007 under her leadership. She served as a 2008 Board of Director and Chairman Club member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. She has served as chairperson of community projects and secretary of the Peachtree Corners Rotary Club.
