As an orthodontist, I am given a humbling opportunity to help people look and feel better each day. It is my passion to apply my expertise towards helping my patients improve their lives by giving them a healthy and beautiful smile. I am continually reminded of how the smiles I create for my patients give them a new, elevated sense of self and confidence and this is something I never take for granted. I am dedicated to my patients’ health and happiness and every day I enact that dedication through creating unique and rewarding orthodontic experiences for each person I treat.
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Venezuelan Central University in Caracas, Venezuela in 2002. I then enrolled in the University of Texas’ Dental Branch in Houston to complete both my orthodontic specialty training and my Master of Science degree in 2008.
I understand how important it is for my patients that I stay abreast of the latest and most advanced trends and techniques in the ever-evolving field of orthodontics. Being fully committed to bringing my patients the gentlest and best orthodontic care available, I take many continuing education courses annually. Further, I am a Board Certified Orthodontist, a title reserved for only a small percentage of practitioners. I am also offered many opportunities to stay current and on the cutting edge of orthodontics through memberships in many professional affiliations.
I am a native of Caracas, Venezuela, and I have been blessed to be a part of the Houston area community since 2003. When I’m not in the office with my patients, I spend as much time as I can with the light of my life, my beautiful wife and children.

I was very impressed by the service i received staff was friendly and knowledgeable and Dr. Salas was great at explaining in detail the next step I was able to get my braces the same day and was completely done in less than 2 hours . Some places i have waited that long to be seen!!' Staff explained in detail care end front desk made paperwork a breeze i look forward to building a great relationship with Dr. salas and staff!!!

My experience at Ashford Orthodontics was great! I have been a patient for a few months nos and they have exceeded my expectations. I never thought my teeth would look so fantastic.
