About Dr. Sara Abedini
Dr. Abedini completed her dental degree and specialty training in orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned her Certificate in Orthodontics and graduated with honors and awards in both clinical and academic research. During her time at UCLA, she served as a head TA and lecturer for dental students, contributed to orthodontic research, and had presentations selected for numerous conferences.
Before starting her journey at UCLA, she earned her PhD in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Developmental Biology from Hiroshima University, Japan. During those years, Dr. Abedini published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a book chapter about orthodontic treatment for patients with dentofacial deformities and syndromes.
She is a proud Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics as well as an affiliate member of the Edward H. Angle Society.
Dr. Abedini's broad experience in the dental field since 2007 and her extensive years in education reflect her passion and love for orthodontics, particularly for her patients.
After spanning many countries, Dr. Abedini has settled in Houston, where she has been practicing orthodontics and dentistry since 2017 and is passionate about supporting and building the Aliana community. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Abedini is great. She always spends a lot of time with her patients and listens to them. She is very smart and professional. Her plans are great and I could see the progress week by week. She is very busy but she always worked with me to find the best appointment that worked best for me. I’m a healthcare provider myself as well and I can tell that she is very skillful and efficient with procedures. Her staff is great as well. Jackie in particular is very skillful, professional, and nice. Together they created a memorable experience for me. I’m grateful for the care that they provided to me!

I appreciate how clean everything is including the bathroom. I love how the staff makes us comfortable and they are knowledgeable. The front desk people are always nice! The coffee and snack area is like a reward for being a good student today! I will definitely recommend this place for friends and family.

I started my orthodontia journey here at Elara and have been under Dr. Abedini's care. She is very patient with explaining what's happening to my teeth with every alignment, and Jackie, the orthodontic staff that assists, has been just as amazing and patient.

I highly recommend Dr. Sara and her awesome assistant Jackie for all orthodontic concerns. They are very attentive and listen carefully to all of your concerns! You are never rushed and they make you feel as though you are their only patient. Office environment and staff is very welcoming and professional. If I had to do any future orthodontic work I will definitely seek their assistance…teeth are pretty much perfect!!
