This was probably my first pleasant visit to a dentist (I have had a lot of dental work done in the past)! She was incredibly warm and kind! I hope she knows that she brightens people's day :) I'm so lucky to have chosen this place based on proximity to my home.

Dr. Huang attended dental school in China, and received additional training in the United States at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, as well as UCLA School of Dentistry. After over 20 years of experience in general dentistry,
Dr. Huang established her own practice in 2004 in the heart of Oakland, the beautiful city where she began her U.S. dental career. She is proud to call Oakland home, and is constantly striving to increase access to quality dental care for all individuals. Dr. Huang is an avid member of the Alameda County Dental Society and the California Dental Association, and is always eager to bring the latest technologies and leading educational software to her patients. She is the proud single mother of a son and daughter, also proud Oaklanders.

I was very blessed to get my teeth cleaned at Lake Merritt Dental! Hai Huang was gracious and friendly and did an excellent job while going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and care. The staff that runs the office is efficient and their faces were full of smiles and light as they welcomed me and assisted me. I would recommend anyone to this dental office and believe they would enjoy great service, an enlightening experience as to the power of caring individuals, and the best dental care in the area.

I came in with a very urgent dental emergency this morning and within an hour these fine folks had me completely taken care of. I was in a pretty high level of pain so I was a bit snappy but everyone was awesome, apologies for being impatient on the phone. 100% recommend the whole staff to anyone looking for a great dental team. I will be going back to fix the rest of my mouth!

Attentive and thorough. Nice space. Got nice teeth clean from Dr. Huang herself, as it was my first visit and she wanted to show me how much she cared, and do an evaluation of various issues, at no extra charge. Total charge very reasonable. I was most impressed however with her declining to quote me for replacement of a gold crown that I asked for. She asked me why I wanted to replace it, and I told her my vanity. She responded, Gold is the best, don't replace it.

I was very nervous about my extraction but Dr. Huang and staff were all very kind and reassuring. They did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. The procedure was over before I knew it and I didn't feel any pain whatsoever! Overall I have had a great experience at Lake Meritt Dental everyone there is so friendly and professional, the facility is very clean, and their dental plan has made dental care within my reach. I'm not afraid to go to the dentist anymore. Thanks Dr. Huang!

Lake Merritt Dental staff members and Dentists are very professional, courteous, and attentive to their patient's needs. The dentists provide excellent care, take time to explain your diagnosis (if any), provide a treatment plan and make appointments tailored to the patient's schedule. Their examinations and work are excellent and they provide the best care possible while keeping their patients best interest at heart. The staff members are full of smiles and always friendly. I would definitely and I have recommended Lake Merritt Dental. They care about their patients.

She is very sweet, kind, and brilliant. She was able to see cavities underneath bad fillings that I had. At first I didn't believe her, but she took pictures in front of me (with my mouth open) and pointed them out to me. She later took more photos when the lousy fillings were removed and showed me the decay under the fillings. She is amazing. I finally feel like I have a trust-worthy dentist who is brilliant and who cares.
