I enjoyed my experience with Dr. Tran. His assistant was great, and they were both very nice. The office was clean and organized, and the cleaning was quick and thorough. Will definitely be back!

More about Dr. Hao Tran, DMD
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to visit. To tell you a little bit about Dr. Tran, he grew up in Oakland and Fairfield, Ca. He graduated from UC Davis with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. Then he went on to dental school at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, which is one of the most applied to dental schools in the nation.
After completing dental school, he went on to complete a post-doctoral residency program in New York City, after which he stayed to continue to live and work. Dr. Tran has worked throughout New York City, treating people of varying degrees of socioeconomic background in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan’s Wall Street. He enjoyed his time in New York, but eventually decided to come back home to California and begin to settle down.
He has worked and scouted many areas of northern California, amongst which have been Placerville, Sacramento, Fairfield, and Vacaville. But he constantly felt himself being drawn to San Francisco. So when the opportunity presented itself to establish a practice in San Francisco, he immediately seized it.
With regard to treatment philosophy, Dr. Tran does strongly believe in the patient’s autonomy. Meaning the patient should have the final say in what they decide should be done to their body. His role in your dental healthcare team is to diagnose the problem, tell you your options for treatment and his recommendations, and to perform the treatment that you and he believe to be the best for you in the situation. This is not a high pressure sales-oriented office.
In his little spare time, Dr. Tran enjoys active activities such as basketball, tennis, golf, weight-lifting, and hopes to do more traveling in the future.
