Dr. Menendez was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He earned his B.A., in Biology from Rutgers University and went on to study at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences where he earned a M.S., in Biomedical Sciences in 1998. In 2003 he graduated from UMDNJ Dental School.
After graduation, Dr. Menendez has focused a lot of his time on continuing education. He has taken Invisalign courses, several orthodontic courses and has completed a Mini-Residency in Implant Dentistry.
When he’s not in our office, Dr. Menendez enjoys exercising, playing pool and fishing with his sons. Dr. Menendez enjoys maintaining a very relaxed and happy atmosphere in the office. Dr. Menendez and the staff were excellent. Their office has a welcoming feel as soon as you walk through the door. The dental hygienist was thorough, and took the time to provide multiple tips I could use to take better care of my teeth. Dr. Menendez is very personable. On my first visit I felt like he’d been my dentist for years.

i went there for a filling but rather than fixing it they kept talking about my missing tooth and howthey can do an implant etc
i decided to go to another dentist and
i asked them to give me my x-ray
they didnt want to send it and a few days later they send a unreadable email, which was useless.

Hands down, the best dentist I have ever seen. Dr. Menendez listened to all my problems and concerned, offered several courses of treatment and several options financially, and immediately fixed two urgent problems I was having. Besides this, his staff is lovely and the office is beautiful and up-to-date with equipment I have never even seen before. Even if I still lived in New York City, I would be driving to Dr. Menendez in Union, NJ for my treatment.
