Whether it’s through a smile enhancing procedure, treating oral disease or simply consulting with patients on ways to better care for themselves and their oral health, he is as inspired as he is grateful for the positive role he is able to play in the life of every patient.
This gifted, caring, and dedicated specialist in cosmetic dentistry is a 1996 graduate of the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. He has a deep understanding of the subjectivity and even the emotion required to create warmth and visual harmony to a patient’s face. This is complemented by his extensive experience, hand skills and techniques.
As is true in all medical professions, staying up to date with changes and innovations in the industry is essential. This is why Dr. Jack dedicates over 100 hours every year to continuing education courses and conferences. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Jack believes that a caring heart doesn’t stop with his patients, and as a result of this belief he regularly volunteers his skills and time to important programs like 1000 Smiles in Jamaica and AACD’s Give Back a Smile battered woman program.
Dr. Jack supports the AACD’s Give Back a Smile (GBAS) by restoring the smiles of adult women and men who have suffered extensive damage to their smile as a result of abuse by a former partner or spouse.

Love Dr. Jack. He's always pretty informative and open with what's needed in treatment. I do feel like he and staff care very much. Sometimes I feel like it's a sales meeting on the newest thing they are trying to sell me... Ie. Invisaline and that whitening treatment.. but usually it's ok. Once you know going in that they are going to prescribe, MI paste and Spry gum at every treatment you can get past the hard sell on the more expensive stuff. I also sometimes feel like there is a lot of focus on price internally and as a customer you are caught off guard by the outrageous out of pocket because they don't quote you what is covered/what it costs HERE before you get done. KNowing that LP Smiles is more expensive on somethings it's always nice to know what you are getting done and how it's covered or not covered.
This last time I was less than impressed with the receptionist and the response on my insurance. She was not helpful, Processed my two appointments on old insurance after I gave her new info 3 times and pretty much fought with me that I didn't have insurance attached to my new insurance company... which I knew I did and had the coverage and co-pay printed.
Again, I like Dr. Jack think his service and the tech's service is great. You get what you pay for and I'm happy to pay more for good service, but I'm annoyed that it took so long to get it through that my insurance changed and that I know i had the right card.

The doc was great. I haven't had any major work done yet so don't want to give 5 stars too soon! The only thing that was odd is that I scheduled a first time appmt and expected a cleaning - no one mentioned I wouldn't get a cleaning this visit. Also I was asked that day to come in 30 mins sooner if possible, which I was able to, so I called the office and left a voicemail, but then they never called me back to confirm. When I came early I was still seen at my normal time. That was a bit annoying since I left work early to do so.

I've been going to Dr. Jack for years. He is a dentist's dentist. Completely fascinated by the art of dentistry itself, he is still a realist about the cost / timing / benefit of getting work done. He just noted that a filling I've had for two decades is starting to go, "but unless you're leaving the country for two years, it can wait, and who knows it might hold for longer." His hygienist staff is also top notch. Very good and thorough, incredibly pleasant and patient focused. And the same is true for their administrative staff regarding insurance and scheduling. I've recommended Dr. Jack to probably a half dozen friends, who are, in turn, all recommending him to others.

Ive had deep scaling, teeth whitening, two crowns and regular checkups within past year. I have nothing bad to say. Everyone is professional and fun. My scheduled appointments have had to be moved around (at my request) several times due to the nature of my job. Absolutely no problems and they do their best to accommodate me. Its one of the best dental offices I've been to and I'm extremely happy with Dr. Jacks work. His staff is also phenomenal , every one of them!
I'm a nervous patient and really try to do a good amount of research before choosing my dentist. I'm quite happy with my choice. (My crowns feel and look great, thanks Dr Jack!)

I really appreciate Dr Jack for his knowledge and also for the way he shares what he sees or is doing so that I have better awareness and knowledge of my own health and hygiene. I always feel like he is approchable when I have questions and even provides a way to reach him outside of office hours in case of emergency. He is knowledgeable and professional but also has moments of light-heartedness/humor and his entire staff is equally friendly & accomodating. So much good energy - and the music they play is only the best 90s hits! :)

I really liked Dr. Jack and will definitely be back! My only criticism is that it I felt like they were really pushing products (paste, gum). He recommended some anticavity paste and never mentioned it was $25 (I was under the impression is was a sample or something) until I was checking out and the receptionist mentioned it off the cuff. The same thing happened to my friend 2 weeks later. I just feel they need to be more transparent that it's $25 so I would have felt it was a choice to buy :)

Sometimes you watch someone talk about something and you see that gleam in their eye that tells you they are jazzed. I saw that gleam in Dr. Jack's eyes today as he explained some of the things going on in dentistry as an industry and how it related to my oral health. That gleam tells you, when someone is right for the job. It was great to see!

Amazing visit. Thoroughly impressed wrb entire team. Katie at the front desk greeted me warmly, offered to hang my coat, and made me feel at home. Jackie, the hygienist, is completely amazing. She is so passionate about what she does and she had her work cut out for her, as I had not been to the dentist in a long time and ended a lot of extra TLC. Dr. Jack was immensely professional and also spent a lot of time speaking "heart to heart" about the results of his exam and the xrays. It was a real wake-up call for me regarding some lifestyle changes I need to make to get healthier, and I appreciate him taking the time to really listen and weigh options with me. Best dental practice experience I can recall! (And, what a posh office environment, too!)

I found Dr. Manikowski a couple months after moving to Chicago from out of state. I had cracked my front tooth and happened to be down the street from his office. I literally just walked in the office and asked if there was any way they could help me out. The office staff and Dr. Manikowski were absolutely wonderful to me! Dr. M. immediately offered to put a temporary fix on the tooth, which he did, and then I was able to go back a couple of days later for a first appointment. Since then, I've been through the process of getting new veneers for my front teeth which has involved a series of office visits to clean, whiten, put on temps, and yesterday, to put the actual veneers on. They LOOK FANTASTIC and are very natural. Dr. M takes his time and is meticulous in getting the color, fit, bite etc. completely right. He had me come in multiple times to make sure everything was right before ordering the actual veneers and it all paid off. I could not be happier with him, his office staff and the entire experience. I highly, highly recommend this dental practice and feel so lucky that I found them! P.S His office space has a super modern feel which is kind of fun and everyone working there (including Dr. M.) is professional, fun, upbeat, and make you feel very comfortable.

This was my first visit with Lincoln Park Smiles. The staff was very courteous and professional. The office is beautiful, spotless, and spacious. They use digital x-rays. This both improves the quality of the image and greatly reduces the amount of radiation exposure to the patient. The stuff made me feel welcomed and comforted, giving the fact that I have extremely sensitive teeth and gums, and am terrified of dental check ups. My hygienist was very kind, conversational, and explained everything clearly. Dr. Jack Manikowski was extremely thorough and clear on what he was doing every step of the way. He treated me with deep compassion and understanding of my situation, and made me feel much better, as I feared the worst. I left with a detailed treatment plan and my costs were clearly explained to me.
