Dr. Stout grew up in La Porte, Texas and graduated from La Porte High School. She received her BS in zoology from Texas A&M University and her DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She also completed a post graduate program in pediatric dentistry from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Dr. Stout practiced general dentistry from 1980 to 1983 for the U.S. Public Health Service in Harlingen, TX. She joined our staff in 1986 and has been practicing pediatric dentistry ever since. Dr. Stout enjoys walking in charity 5ks, volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, gardening outdoors, and helping children on dental mission trips. She is a very involved member of her church and has two adult daughters. One of her daughters is in dental school and the other is a dentist too!
Dr. Stout proudly practices as a Diplomat of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. A Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry certifies pediatric dentists based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience requisite to the delivery of quality patient care.
