Dr. Tipograph was warm and friendly and her office staff was welcoming too. I can't say I enjoy going to the dentist but I highly recommend this practice. They made it easy and I enjoyed the reggae music playing while getting my teeth cleaned!

A native of Washington, Dr. Tipograph began her career as a dental assistant. She pursued her dental degree at Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Tipograph keeps her practice up-to-date through regular dental conferences and seminars.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Tipograph enjoys exercising, volunteering, and spending time with her family. She is also a member of professional organizations including The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), The Academy of General Dentistry, and Alpha Omega.
Dr. Tipograph submits claims for every patient with a PPO insurance plan. For most insurance companies, she is an out-of-network provider with successful reimbursement of 70-100% of her fees for most patients after meeting their deductible in order to extend affordable care to all of her patients. Dr. Tipograph spent a lot of time with me and was a lot more informative and attentive than other dentists I've been to. She did the cleaning and exam herself, rather than a hygienist, and explained everything to me in detail and made referrals for any follow-up treatment I needed. The office was welcoming and clean and all of the staff was really nice. I'll definitely be continuing to go there.

Wonderful first visit at a new dentist's office. I was nervous and was pleased to find everyone was nice. The front desk was efficient and the hygienist Maya did a great job. Dr. Tipograph herself spent time explaining my particular issues and answering my questions. I am definitely going back in 6 months... and sending my husband as well!

This was my first time seeing Dr. Tipograph. She was very friendly and thorough. She didn't have enough time to do a cleaning and x-rays and a dental exam all at the same time, so she had me schedule an appointment for x-rays and dental exam. She wanted to help me with my jaw discomfort and headaches. During the cleaning she kept asking if I needed a break or was uncomfortable. Overall I really liked her.

Dr Tipograph is an amazing dentist! I did a dental cleaning and cavity filling with her and the experience couldn't be better. She explained the process very thoroughly before and during the procedure. It was obvious that she's very detail oriented and cared about her patients.

Dr. Tipograph is amazing. First of all, as soon as I came into the office, I was seen. That in itself is a miracle, as almost every time I've had a doctors appointment I've had to wait at least half an hour. Secondly, she's extremely friendly and helpful-- willing and happy to answer all my annoying, paranoid questions. I was nervous to see a dentist, as I hadn't seen one in literally three years, but her patience and kindness calmed my anxiety. After the filling procedure (which was relatively painless even though I had four bad cavities-- and she made sure to listen to me and only give me the smallest amount of novocaine because I hate numbness), she carefully explained all the steps I needed to take to prevent any more tooth decay. Notice I wrote "prevent"-- I love how she's a PREVENTATIVE doctor as opposed to a "treatment" one; obviously, she treats and fills cavities skillfully, but she focuses on preventing new ones, so you know she really cares about her patients and not just about a buck. I will definitely be back.
