This is my most pleasure dentist visit experience ever. Dr Chen is so experienced and thoughtful. Their stuff are all respectful and understand patients. My favorite part is the appointment schedule. Dr Chen is busy but she is willing to open schedule during lunch time and Saturday, which allow me to have dental problem solved on time without asking day off. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Jennifer Chen received her Bachelor of Science in Medicine from Shanghai Second Medical University at Shanghai, China. After graduation, she was invited to teach at Anhui Medical University, School of Stomatology for seven years, while she practiced as a general dentist at the same time. She immigrated to the U.S. and earned her MA degree in Gerontolgy at Northeast Louisiana University. She then worked at Baylor College of Medicine as a researcher. Five years later, she entered her three-year residency program in periodontics at the University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch and earned her MS in Periodontics. Her specialty training was focused on comprehensive periodontal care and dental implants placement. The American Board of Periodontology certifies Dr. Chen as a Diplomate. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontics and Academy of Osseointegration. What means the most to Dr. Chen, however, is that she is a Christian, married with two daughters. Her family and herself are dedicated to honor God and serve people.

She let me in right away even though I was half an hour early for my appointment. She is a Christian, which personally makes me feel better. She is also very gentle. For a person who is really afraid of dentist visit, I felt much less frightened with her. Filling in the form in Zocdoc in advance helps a lot too!

My regular dentist had noticed there was a major problem and I needed to see a Periodontist. So, I have been to Dr. Chen's office 4 times now for pre-consulting, a tooth removal, and follow up leading to an implant. She is very talented and friendly. The office help is capable and professional.

Highly unprofessional with appointments. i was asked to come in earlier than my appointment time and then was asked to wait for an hour because they suddenly found another patuent. Its like a first come fist serve grocery store. Would highly recommend not going here if you don't like waiting.

They did not confirm my insurance provider before my appointment, and made me foot the bill. I provided them my insurance card and thought everything would be fine. Instead they performed the cavity filling and THEN told me that my insurance didn't go through. The dentist herself is excellent, the reception staff and others are unprofessional.

I've been in Houston for 12 years and have seen 4 different dentists due to changes in Insurance coverage. Dr. Chen is the best I've seen by far. She in knowledgeable, explains what she is doing and offers her opinion but is not pushy. I found the other dentists to always be pushing things and Dr Chen does not and she has a great way of providing her opinion and letting you choose. Greta hands and a great touch made this the most pleasurable dentist visit in 12 years.

I was searching for a new dentist b/c I just never felt real comfortable with the one I had. Dr. Chen and her staff were very friendly and made me feel very relaxed. I am very satisfied with the service and will definitely go back. Like another reviewer said, she told you what was needed, but was not pushy. She also made sure to tell me what everything would cost and what the insurance would or wouldn't cover. She also has a lot of specialties, so it's a one stop shop!
