About Dr. Jiman Nelson
We utilize the latest state-of-the-art technology for dental cleanings, including high-end ultrasonic devices and the latest laser treatments for optimal results. We offer a 10-year warranty on all of our crowns, ceramic, BPA-free Bis-GMA-free fillings, and veneer work with continued routine cleaning and maintenance appointments. Our implants are placed by a dental implant specialist (periodontist) using high-end Straumann and Neodent implants.
With over 4,000 5-star Google reviews, we utilize FDA-approved AI technology to detect cavities with high precision and accuracy. We are a BPA-free filling dentist, open on Saturdays, and use state-of-the-art low-radiation X-ray technology. We are also an FDA-approved VIVOS snoring and sleep apnea treatment certified provider. We use the same high-end dental laboratories for celebrity veneers and porcelain without increasing prices for our patients.
Dr. Nelson embodies the spirit of hospitality and a passion for science and medicine. Dedicated to serving his community through dentistry, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He has been practicing since 2018, providing comprehensive care to his patients.
Dr. Nelson pursued specialized training in Periodontics, Periodontal Plastic Surgery, and Implantology, earning a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Department of Periodontics. During his residency, he continued to serve the Houston metro area as a general dentist, applying his advanced knowledge and skills to deliver the highest quality treatment.
Committed to the dental community, Dr. Nelson has held leadership positions in multiple organizations, including the Student National Dental Association (both national and local) and the Hispanic Dental Association. He is a current member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontics.

My experience has always been great. Check in is seamless through text on your cell phone. Wait time is never long. Everyone from the doctors, dental assistants, and receptionists are always kind and professional. Dr Nelson is an excellent periodontist and very knowledgeable. My hygienist Esther is equally great and extremely courteous. I am pleased with my experiences at URBN dental.

I had a phenomenal experience at the Midtown location. My hygienist, Krista, was very thorough with providing me with detailed information and preventative measures. She was very general when she cleaned my teeth as well. Dr. Nelson and Dr. Lee are the best ! They are very nice and answer any question you may have. Everyone was very transparent when it came to answering my questions. I definitely recommend this location as everyone is very welcoming, caring, and informative.

I am so incredibly impressed and relieved to find this dental office. Everything they do is top of the line and with careful consideration. I came here after 10+ years at another office and the difference in care and practice is evident. Dr. Nelson and Dr. Sosa’s team worked with me and answered all of my questions about my extensive mouth work. The twins Hailee and Holli are also exceptional in their craft. Ask for Hailee as your dental assistant. I could not recommend URBN dental Uptown more!

Oh wow, I love this place so much. They really helped me out. Explained what was really going on with my oral health. The only thing is that I booked a specific doctor and that doctor did not work on me whatsoever. That is the only thing that I have to say about the place that everything else is spectacular.

We did not see chosen provider and the provider we did see had horrible bedside manner which horrified my son. The provider and the lady in there at the time talked about dental hygienist who besides the front desk was the best staff there. Just unprofessional all together .

Great experience, beautiful office, and no wait at all. The only reason I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was quite pricey compared to other dentists, especially without insurance. However, the front office was very transparent about all costs and I left feeling understood and heard.

Felt like a waste of time because I didn’t get what I needed taken care of. My gum is still in pain and the medicine prescribed couldn’t get filled because you all put a number that is going to voicemail on the written prescription and now the office is closed because it is Saturday and I have to wait in pain until Monday.

When looking for a great dentist I was a little worried at first. I hate being teeth shame for not flossing enough. And this and that…. LoL. But here everyone was great, the staff is friendly and welcoming. I left feeling more confidence about smile and myself thank Ester for all your help.

Let me start by saying I hate the dentist, ALL dentist. I had a traumatic experience years ago and I don’t enjoy going. I didn’t want it to be another terrible experience but it was fine if it was. The intake paperwork was long, I almost walked out. Once I get to the deep cleaning I started to panic. I’ve been to several dentist. I’ve never been to a place that accommodated their task for me. As tears rolled down my face, gasping for air. They turned the lights off, laid a warm lavender scented towel on my face, gave me a stress ball and allowed me rest. They gave me options, a choice, a voice. I never had an experience so wholesome. I may still hate dentist and I may never go back but I felt the most love in that office.

This place was amazing!!! They do dental scans and pictures beforehand. I did have to take out my nose piercing for the X-ray machine but that was no issue. Everyone was friendly. Myra, Angela, Maria, and Dr. Nelson were all extremely helpful. I will be coming again soon!!
