We want to treat you the way we want to be treated. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with our patients through comfort, compassion, transparency, and high-quality dentistry.
Dr. Maeng graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Neuroscience with honors. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) Degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, one of the prestigious IVY league schools in the country. While in dental school he did oral surgery externships at the York Hospital and the VA Hospital in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Maeng is very passionate about his profession and he loves dentistry. He has completed continuing education courses in implantology, orthodontics, and endodontics. He is certified in Invisalign® clear removable aligners. He also devotes many hours in reading dental journals and publications in all aspects of dentistry. He is a member of Academy of General Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Maeng resides in Chicago with his lovely wife, Jeannie, and their two sons Leo and Roy. When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Maeng enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf, watching movies, and running. He has participated in the Chicago Triathlon since 2015 and his hope is to participate with his two kids when they grow up.

I have seen Dr. Jin Young Maeng before and he was very kind but when I went in today a different doctor was there, despite my appointment having clearly been booked with this specific provider. The other doctor was very rude and kept insisting I needed to learn how to keep my teeth cleaner despite me assuring her I follow standard hygiene protocols and the reason I have so much decay in my teeth is because of prior surgeries and vitamin deficiencies. She was condescending and, worse, not helpful since she believed I was not adherent to proper hygiene so didn't recommend anything other than the routine I already do to prevent cavities. I won't be returning to this dental office.

I’m so glad that i find this dentistry and came there. They are so nice and friendly. I needed filling and they did xray and then Dr. Jin showed me on the TV everything- where is the problem and how it look like and what he will do and what I want to do first. He was so nice and he is really precise in everything what he is doing. Thank you for everything!

The level of competence and professionalism here seems exceptional. Further Dr Jin seems to be the most tech savvy of any dentist I have visited. His office uses methods and technologies like lip guards to make the patient as comfortable as possible. Although this office is a bit of a long drive for me, I plan to keep coming as the patient experience is comfortable and low stress.
