Dr. Joel Strom has been a mainstay in the dental profession his entire career. In addition to practicing general dentistry in the greater Los Angeles area, he has served as Course Director for Ethics at USC Dental School, as President of the Western Los Angeles Dental Society, founded Dentistry United for WWII Vets, and most notably is a former President of the California State Dental Board. As a consultant for the Gerson-Lehman Group, he is a nationally recognized advisor to many oral health related companies.
Dr. Strom attended local Hamilton High School and received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from USC. He graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and then completed a National Institute of Health Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Human Nutrition at Columbia University where he conducted research for Colgate-Palmolive on their first tartar control toothpastes.
When not in the office, Dr. Strom enjoys long distance running, yoga and serving as a public member of Board of Directors of the California Science Center where the Board oversees all aspects of Exposition Park.
His message to prospective patients is simply this…..choose your health care professionals with care by making sure you are treated with respect for your comfort, your time and your concerns. We aim to fulfill this goal to all of our patients.
