I switched to Dr. Castonaro after a bad stretch of dentists, and it was such a relief. I was so impressed with the ease of my visit with Dr. Castonaro. Everyone in the office was friendly and welcoming, and seemed happy to be there. My cleaning was quick but thorough. I had had a prior experience of severe pain in my jaw and head, and Dr. Castonaro knew right away what it was, and was knowledgeable about the rare condition which a prior doctor had misdiagnosed it as. I will absolutely be returning and recommending him to others.

Continuing the family tradition, Dr. John C. Castanaro joined his father in 2009. Also graduating from the University of Scranton with a bachelors in Biology and Philosophy, Dr. John received a Master in Biology from the University at Buffalo in 2003 and then went on to gradate graduated Cum Laude from University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2007. He then accepted a residency position at Montefiore Medical Center where he was elected chief resident in 2008. He became skilled in implant and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. John continues his education through advanced technical seminars keeping up with all the latest dental equipment and procedures, providing his patients with the best technology, products and care.
Dr. John has the training to fix most any dental problem a person could have, big or small. Dr John has participated in mission trips to Tampico Mexico and has lectured in Kuwait and Qatar educating military support personal on different techniques for acute dental trauma.
Dr. Castanaro is proud to announce he is now a Clinical Professor at Mt. Sinai Hospital!

Dr. Castanaro's office was sophisticated and stylish, I was seen immediately, and I got an expert cleaning with thoughtful advice. I knew he was looking out for my best interests when he advised me out of a costly and unnecessary procedure. There is nothing better than a professional who puts you first. There's no better dentist downtown.

Dr. Castanaro is a true gentleman and the consummate professional. He walked me through every step of the process, and gave me the accurate impression that I was in good hands from beginning to end.
I've never really been good about keeping up with my dental care, and Dr. Castanaro's office felt like a 100% judgement free zone. As someone who generally avoids going to the dentist, I'd highly recommend his services to anyone, be them a twice a day flosser looking for a checkup, or someone in dire need of help, like I was.

I arrived about 15 minutes early to the office and was taken in about 5 minutes after I checked in. Dr. Castanaro is down-to-earth and honest about what he can do for his patients. He took the time to examine me and told me all of my procedures could be finished in a matter of weeks. I was left with no questions after his explanations of what was to be done and his price point is superb. Unmatched value and the most bang for your buck. Don't bother going anywhere else!

The last time I went to the dentist was 2 years ago and before that 10 years ago, why because I don't like dentists. In fact they scare me. Dr. John Castanaro and his staff got me over this fear and for the first time the idea of getting my teeth looked at no longer scares me. Everytime I go to Dr. John I leave with a smile on my face because Dr. John and his staff are so comforting. I am recommending Dr. John to all my family and friends. Dr. John is great at what he does and if you need a dentist this is guy you are looking for. Also there is a free parking lot right in front of the building just thought I would mention it for us driving folk.

Dr. Castanaro explained everything as he was doing it and never made me feel judged for my less-than-perfect personal dental care. He warned me when the cleaning might become painful and did a good job of monitoring my pain level and being as gentle as possible. He and his staff are wonderful to be around and I will definitely be making him my dentist.

My entire life I have always been one to avoid visiting the dentist regularly because my experiences have been so awful. Just recently, I began experiencing discomfort that was radiating in one side of my mouth. I visited two other dentists before meeting Dr. Castanaro, both of which recommended serious dental procedures. However, when I saw Dr. Castanaro, he believed a sinus infection was what had been causing me such discomfort. He prescribed me an antibiotic and two weeks removed from that visit, I feel great!
From the get-go, I was blown away by his professionalism, friendliness and by his fantastic staff. I was also impressed at Dr. Castanaro's ability to walk me through what he believed the problem was. It was nice to get an explanation I could understand rather than having terms like "extraction" or "root canal" be thrown my way without any reasoning.
Since my first visit two weeks ago, I have already been back to his office to get started on a couple minor procedures that I have known I needed for awhile now. Suffice to say, the second visit was just as pleasant as the first. I would highly recommended Dr. Castanaro to anyone and I have already passed along his contact info to some friends and family! I'm grateful for Zoc Doc because I'm ecstatic that I was able to find such an amazing dentist like him on here!

Dr. John and his office is amazing!!! when we first walked in the door Stephanie greeted us by name which I really appreciated- it made the experience very personal. Dr. John was so gentle and caring with my grandson and made him feel on top of the world by congratulating him on his oral hygiene. My exam went very well and Dr. John explained everything and most importantly did not do unnecessary work or try to sell me something. I totally recommend him and he will be me and my family's dentist forever!!!

Dr. John was awesome and his staffs were very friendly. The clinic was very clean and they got the latest equipment for diagnostic and treatment. Our kids love him and weren't scared with their first dentist visit, not to mention they got a nice aquarium that amazed my kids and balloons to take home.
It was our first family visit and we are planning to have Dr. John as our family Dentist. We highly recommend Dr. John to everybody.
