I had high expectations for Dr. Yalch because he has such great online reviews. Dr. Yalch far exceeded my expectations. I scheduled my appointment through Zocdoc but I wanted to make sure that my insurance would be accepted, so I called his office the next day. The office was closed because Dr. Yalch had an emergency appointment. I called the alternate phone number on the voicemail and left a message. I couldn't believe it when Dr. Yalch texted me back. He was working on a long appointment and couldn't call, but he let me know that my insurance would cover the cleaning and x-rays. During my appointment, Dr. Yalch's assistant was very friendly and checked frequently to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Yalch did my cleaning and was the first dentist that had any sort of empathy for me and my teeth. I brush twice a day and floss once a day and still get cavities fairly often and irritated gums periodically. I've tried new dentists several times because I got tired of hearing "Well you just need to brush/floss your teeth" and receiving no new suggestions for what I can do in addition to what I'm already doing. Dr. Yalch didn't blame me for a lack of proper dental care, rather he told me some additional things I can do to prevent cavities. I don't plan to stay in DC long term, but when I move, I wish I could take Dr. Yalch with me.

Dr. Yalch completed his undergraduate training at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania (1982-1986) and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology (honors) with dual minors in Chemistry and Sociology. Dr. Yalch then attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Washington, DC (1986-1990) receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree graduating with highest honors (summa cum laude).
Dr. Yalch has been in private practice since 1990. He is a general dentist with a primary interest in, but not limited to, advanced restorative dentistry and diagnosis and treatment of occlusal issues and TMJ-related problems. Dr. Yalch regularly attends continuing education in order to keep abreast of the constant changes in the dental profession. For those procedures not performed in his office, Dr. Yalch works with some of the finest specialists in the metropolitan area. With such a network, patients can be assured that they have access to the most comprehensive quality care that dentistry has to offer.

My visit to Dr. Yalch was just wonderful. Small staff and office, but that is what made it so enjoyable. They are quick and to the point of getting things done. Really, just a great visit and I usually had the dentist!

Found him through ZocDoc, and after 3 terrible dental practices in DC, I've finally found a terrific one! Exceptional bedside manner, and does not recommend unnecessary treatments or procedures (like many other practices in this city do). He is genuinely interested in your health and provides a great amount of knowledge to enable you to improve your health. You won't be disappointed.

Dr. Yalch is an excellent dentist and provided top notch service. He talked me through a recent root canal, which was painless and stress-free. Dr. Yalch was available for follow-up questions throughout the following weekend, and checked in with me several times. His office staff is incredibly professional, and wait times are minimal (less than 5 minutes).

Outstanding. The best dentist I ever had in my life. Extremely gentle, especially with complicated procedure. I recall a root canal performed by Dr. Yalch years ago when I did feel a thing... and I can rely and compare to a similar procedure a few years before with another dentist. Dr. Yalch is the best!
