Dr. Joseph S. Towbin has been providing comprehensive dental care at this location in Greenwich Village for over four decades. Dr. Towbin emphasizes the value of the traditional patient-physician, patient-dentist relationship. More and more complex decisions about health care are expected of patients. He understands patients need to make well informed choices regarding their oral health and need the empathy of an experienced and trusted dentist to be their personal advocate while guiding them through the process.
Perhaps it is this combination, as well as Dr. Towbin's gentle touch, that keeps his patients faithful, referring many of their friends and family, supporting his belief that HIS BEST PATIENTS REFER HIS BEST PATIENTS. Emergencies are always welcome. Special care for the apprehensive.
He received his B.A. from Syracuse University in 1960, and his D.D.S. from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1964. From 1964 - 1966 he served as a captain in the United States Air Force, Dental Service. He established a private dental practice in New York City in 1967 and has been at his current location since 1969. From 1971 - 1981 Dr. Towbin served as a clinical instructor in the Post-Graduate Dental Residency Program at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York City. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Queens County Dental Society, The New York County Dental Society, The Dental Study Club of New York, The American College of Forensic Examiners International, and the American Board of Forensic Dentistry.
