Dr. Judy Schmutter graduated from New York University Dental school in 2002. Upon graduation, Dr. Schmutter completed a general practice residency at the VA hospital in Brooklyn New York. Dr. Schmutter is the daughter of a dentist. After practicing with her father for many years in Brooklyn and also working as an associate in local offices in both Closter and Edgewater, Dr. Schmutter has opened this new office in Oradell New Jersey. The office has been open for 3 years and is continuing to grow at a rapid pace.
Dr. Schmutter has completed Advanced Courses in Cosmetic Dentistry, Invisalign, Endodontics, Implants and more. Dr. Schmutter continues to stay abreast the newest technologies ensuring that her patients receive the highest standard of care. Dr. Schmutter makes herself readily available to her patients. The office has late night hours, early morning appointments and alternate Sundays.

The dental visit was very quick compared to my previous dentists, cannot say if this is for better or worse. My last dentist stressed how important it was that dentist visits include a quick scan for cancerous growths on the throat and Dr. Schmutter does not have this included as part of a visit. She was, however, super friendly and there was 0 wait to see her which was great.

I have been using Dr Schmutter for a few years now. She is kind, considerate, most understanding and patient. I have called the Dr. for a couple of emergencies and I could not believe she said, "meet me at the office" how often does a Dentist give such service by going out of her way for the patient......rarely.
It is also rare to find such a caring Dentist in todays world!

I have very sensitive gums. My last dentist left my gums sore and bleeding after each visit. Dr. Schmutter was much more gentle, professional and careful. She is very easy to talk with. After the visit she went over my options, crown vs another filling. She was very factual about the cost and explained clearly my choices as well as what my insurance would pay. I am glad that I choose her to be my dentist.

Dr Schmutter was very professional. I came for a dental cleaning and checkup. I had a full set of x-rays of my mouth done and then my cleaning. It was pleasant to have her do it instead of a dental hygienist . This way she was able to note any problems with my teeth and explain everything to me after looking at the x-rays.
It was an excellent experience.
I made another appointment for my 6 month follow up.
