I was in search of a new dentist for my kids. Since, I was so dissatisfied with their prior dentist. I am thankful to have found Dr. Benitez and her staff. I was able to schedule my kid's initial appointment with such an ease. They immediate reach out to me through email to have my kids records forwarded to them. Upon arrival to their office, we loved the look and feel of the office. My kids loved the play area. Dr. Benitez is amazing. She is so friendly and approachable. She has takes her time explaining every step to my kids. She goes above and beyond to ensure my kids feel comfortable and have a good experience. She genuinely cares about my kids dental health.

Dr. Benitez received her doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2006. Following graduation, she pursued further hospital-centered training in General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center and Pediatric Dental training at St. Barnabas Hospital. Her training was extensive in preventive and restorative care, growth and development, behavior guidance, including oral sedation, trauma, as well as interceptive orthodontic management. Dr. Benitez received her Board Certification in 2009 and completed her oral exam to attain Diplomate recognition in 2010 from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She practiced as a Pediatric Dentist for a year in Stamford, CT and Queens, NY before moving to the Washington, DC area in 2010 where she has made her home!
When not in the office, Dr. Benitez is thoroughly involved in the numerous activities that our area so graciously offers to their young children! She is dedicated to spending quality time with her husband and three children! They are often found at various fairs, events, museums, spray parks, story times, music times, ball games, hiking, camping and venturing into nearby towns! She enjoys art and museums, music venues, gardening, decorating, cooking and baking, reading, running, the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, camping, dancing, culinary delights and traveling the world! Dr. Benitez is an adventure-seeker and loves trying new things!

We had an amazing experience with Dr. Benitez!! This was our 3-year old daughter's first time at the dentist. The office staff greeted us and welcomed us. Our daughter immediately felt comfortable there. Dr. Benitez was fantastic with her. She took her time and talked with our daughter about everything. This was my son's very dental appointment at 2 years of age. I was scared more than him and the staff was really caring and thoughtful with their approach to my son.
Dr. Benitez was upbeat and positive about showing my son and I how to brush his teeth. He cried a bit but that's because it was a new environment. I'm sure over time he will begin to understand the need for a dentist.

Dr. Karen Benitez is probably one of the best professionals my youngest son has ever visited, for medical or dental purposes. She did not do anything to his teeth or mouth until she clearly explained how it would feel, referring to her many tools as toys, to get him comfortable and relaxed. He enjoyed his appointment. I have no doubt Dr. Benitez is great with kids and any dental matter with the kids is so interactive and involves the kid in the process. That's how you gain a kid's trust so they're not afraid to go to dentists and doctors. We'll be back for sure on a regular basis.
