When I first walked in I was greeted with smiles and happiness!! My visits to dentists in the past have been severely for and I now have a slight bit of anxiety when it comes to anything dealing with the dentist. With them knowing that they treated me with the best care ever! The doctor was amazing and explained everything in a manner in which I could understand and gave me the option to ask questions. He came up with a comprehensive plan in which we can get everything done that needs to and is helpful in resources for payment. Really glad I found a great dentist! Highly recommended!

Dr. Kashyap Patel is an Indiana native. He attended Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s Degree in Biology. He then graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington DC where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He went for an additional year of training at a General Practice Residency Program at Indiana University School of Dentistry. There, he expanded his clinical training in hospital dentistry which widened his scope of dentistry he practices today. He worked for 3 years at a family practice in Indianapolis before moving back to DC to work together with his wife, Dr. Priya, where they opened Smile Loft Branch Ave.
Dr. Patel has a true passion in understanding the difference that health and well-being can bring. He genuinely understands the importance of oral health, and strives to make a difference in his patient’s lives by partnering with them every day. To him, dentists do more than “drill and fill” teeth – they improve the quality of life through diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of oral diseases. With a gentle and specialized approach, he is able to put patients at ease while addressing their dental needs and concerns.
Dr. Patel has a strong belief in team work dentistry. He really values working with his wife, Dr. Priya, which has been both enjoyable and beneficial when treating patients in a comprehensive manner. Outside of the office, he enjoys staying active by playing basketball. He also likes to cook, and travel.

Dr. Patel and his staff are wonderful! It was such an inviting atmosphere from the time that I walked through the door. I was so anxious about the fact that I needed a root canal, when I was finished it was like I had just had a filling done (you always hear such horror stories about root canals) I was treated like I was a Queen and felt as though I was in a spa instead of a dental office. All of them made me feel very special and that I was their top priority. I would highly recommend anyone to go see Smile Loft Dental Branch Avel!!

My visit was amazing. The staff was great and polite. Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and elaborate with his services. I’ve never been to a Dentist and was excited. Past Dentist have made my cleaning not so pleasant. My dental cleaning was wonderful and painless. I’m so glad I went there. They have definitely gained a new client !!!

It was awesome! Dr Patel is very experienced and was able to identify my oral issues . He gave solid advice on how to remediate my cavity and made me feel confident I could get the smile I so desire. The hygienist gave me a teeth cleaning and she was awesome!

Having been to several dentists over the span of my lifetime, Dr. Patel is by far the best. By that I mean I've never felt more comfortable with a dentist. Dr. Patel is by far the one who can made me feel totally comfortable despite my apprehension for surgical removal of old, dysfunctional teeth, bone grafting and implants. The time involved seemed like a few minutes instead of what normally would be a few hours. His professional demeanor and bedside manner is nothing short of par excellence. Never did I think I would someday have that toothy smile, well, now I do and I'm ever so happy.

Of all the dentists I've had over the decades (I'm 70), Dr. Patel is by far the best I've encountered. He is very friendly, warm, genial,, pleasant, warmhearted and gracious, Dr. Patel explains all options available and doesn't try to talk one into something they don't need. I've been asking my previous dentist that I wanted my teeth (the few good ones I left) pulled and implants or dentures in place. Well guess what, he honored my wishes. He agreed that the ones I had left would last long and the cost to repair and replace with partials would cost me more in the long run. Finally, I'm GONNA GET THAT BEAUTIFUL, TOOTHY SMILE I've been wanting for a long time.
Dr. Patel's office staff are super friendly and can answer all most all dental questions one may have. As well, his office is very clean and immaculate. What's more, I'd recommend Dr. Patel and his office staff to any and all my friends/relatives.

I rated only four stars because.......Dr. Patel and his wife are both 5-star dentists!! I just wanted to show I'm not a robot mindlessly filling out the highest rating ;P. Plus I know how many people, myself included, scroll until they find lower ratings to get the more honest reviews. (For clarity: 5 stars across the board).
Dr. Patel was upbeat, explained everything clearly, and listened attentively while I explained my symptoms. I really appreciated how he discussed what we should deal with first - he cared enough to discuss and prioritize things based on my situation.
The office was very nice. Classy waiting room, modern looking equipment, and with a TV monitor right in front of the dentist chair so I could watch television while waiting and also see the X-rays they'd taken. Also, A+ for convenience with the office literally 1 block away from a green-line metro stop (and also tons of parking lots in the area).
I think my favorite part of the visit was the general vibe of the office / people. Every dentist I've been with has made me feel down/depressed about my teeth (since I have bad genetics / habits and get cavities frequently). However, despite numerous cavities Dr. Patel was helpful, positive, and made the necessary procedures seem like not the end of the world. Fantastic experience - highly recommended!

I was very please with my visit. There was not a long wait time before I was seen. The hygentist was very personal as well as professional. Every procedure that she did, she first explained the process (& what to expect) to me. In this way it helps the patient taken on more ownership of her/his dental health.
