Dr. Kiono L Barnes was born in Lansing, MI and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast by way of Diberville. He graduated from Biloxi High School and then went on to earn a bachelors degree in science at Florida A & M University. He then matriculated at the University of Florida college of Dentistry where he earned a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree.
Dr. Barnes completed a post graduate general practice residency at the Biloxi VA in 2005. After being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, he subsequently managed a practice in Atlanta, GA for a period of one year. In 2006 he relocated back to the coast where he practiced as a contract general dentist for a year at Keesler Air Force Base. In early 2007 he began Dental Concepts, where he has been practicing ever since.
