About Dr. James Moreau

With over 40 years spent in the world of dentistry so far, Dr. Moreau certainly knows a thing or two about revitalizing smiles. He’s always ready to go the extra mile to help people escape chronic pain, chew more successfully, and achieve a better quality of life that lasts. Hearing from his patients about the compliments they receive on their treated teeth always makes his day! After completing his initial degree at the University of New Orleans, Dr. Moreau pursued his dental doctorate at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Today, he is a proud Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also eligible for a Fellowship with the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics and a current member of the American Dental Association and Louisiana Dental Association. Over the decades, he has remained committed to pursuing continuing education at very opportunity, including courses about laser dentistry, dental implants, oral surgery, prosthetics, root canals, orthodontics, advanced life support, and much more. He considers himself a “Swiss Army Knife” of a dentist! Dr. Moreau and his wife Julie have been married since 1983 and have brought four interesting children into the world – two daughters followed by twin sons. Their active family has always enjoyed traveling, church, and community activities together, with some sports and a lot of camping sprinkled into the mix. They’ve camped, flown airplanes, canoed, kayaked, hiked, zip lined, rode horseback, and biked in various locations throughout the country! Although he’s taking a break from flying, Dr. Moreau is a founding member of both the Big Easy Wing and the Bayou Escadrille Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) and supports the restoration and maintenance of WWII aircraft.
