Dr. Leila Shahbandar (more easily referred to as “Dr. Leila”) is happy to have joined our team and is looking forward to working with all of the wonderful patients she has heard about! She has a gentle approach with anxious patients of all ages and feels that each patient is a part of her family. She focuses on prevention and patient education, and is particularly interested in the link between oral and general health.
While Dr. Leila loves to focus on prevention, she also works to deliver the best general dental care possible to suit each patient’s individual needs. She provides a wide array of dental services from crowns and fillings to more specialized care, like surgical implants and limited orthodontics. She also loves working on pediatric patients and can speak Spanish.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Dr. Leila worked in communications before realizing her dream was to develop relationships with patients as a dentist. She attended the UIC College of Dentistry and graduated in 2009. While in dental school, Dr. Leila was consistently on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll. Since then she has continued to strive to expand her education. She has taken extensive courses to expand her skill set in implant placement and oral surgery, Invisalign, Six Month Smiles, and general dentistry. Dr. Leila feels committed to her community, and actively volunteers at many local organizations. She looks forward to giving back to the local community through dentistry as well.
In her leisure time, Dr. Leila enjoys spending time with her three young children, husband, family and friends. She loves to do anything active, especially running, playing tennis and downhill skiing. She is excited to meet all of

Ok...This Dr. is a dying breed. They don'the make them like this anymore and if they do its far and few in between. She "Cares" plain and simple and it shows in everything she says and does. I am so happy to have found Dr. Shahbandar. I will be able to smile again. I do not sing praises but I am singing now....what a great DDS and what a wonderful person. I am so lucky.
