I really enjoyed my appointment. She is very patient and takes time to asses the problem and give the best advice. She also has a small dog which not only he is cute but calms my nerves of needles. Very professional staff who talks multiple languages and can help you with your insurance and other problems you might encounter.

I've probably written a review on Dr. State before but she's just a wonderful dentist who makes you feel comfortable and will explain things to you clearly. I've had horrible dentist experiences before and I've been happy going to her office for years since. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dentist in the area!

Dr. Ligia State is a caring, gentle, and attentive doctor who cares deeply for each patient. Her goal is to create a relaxing and inviting environment where patients can be at ease when coming to the dentist.
Dr. Ligia became a dentist 1999. After practicing for two years she fulfilled her dreams of coming to New York. She was quickly accepted to NYU Dental, and graduated in 2005. Dr. Ligia practices General and Cosmetic Dentistry for both adults and children. She prides herself on providing patients with healthy teeth and gums to last a lifetime.
Dr. Ligia has been living in New York for 15 years and loves the warmth of New Yorkers. “I love New York because of the diversity. Each and every patient that sits on my chair is unique!” Says Dr. Ligia. Dr. State also enjoys reading, continuing her education, and skiing.

Dr. State was very professional and kind! I had a serious procedure done with my tooth and she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed, I wasn’t worried for anything and not even once felt any pain. Returned straight to work after. So I am very happy and satisfied with my visit!

My son chipped his tooth last month it looked so hideous I couldn’t speak for at least a week I was so depressed. Dr. state helped him and gave him a new crown it looks fantastic! She really cares about my son and the way he looks that she ordered another crown because the one that the company first sent didn’t look perfect. She also corrected a root canal that a previous dentist did and found a third root that was overlooked. My family will be going to her from now on!

Dr. State is wonderful! It’s been a while since I’ve been to the dentist so I was nervous for my teeth cleaning, but she reassured me throughout the process. She apologized for running a little late, but the wait wasn’t long at all. The nurse performed several routine x-rays and Dr. State went ahead with her analysis. She explained each step she performed clearly and addressed any questions I had. She handled my teeth with care and precision and I’m really happy with the results. She’s also really funny and kind. Her receptionist is also really nice and their office pug Axel is a sweetie. I would definitely continue to come here in the future!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. State and her staff. They were so welcoming and made me feel comfortable and at ease despite my being nervous and embarrassed about the condition of my teeth. Dr. State took her time with me and was very gentle and made sure to periodically ask if I was feeling ok. The facility was very clean and up to date including the restroom which is so important to me. An added bonus is that Dr. State will have you laughing with her jokes.

My experience with Dr. Ligia State was wonderful. She explained how she wasn’t typically able to treat my problem but was still willing to check it out and listened to my situation. She determined she was willing to proceed with my extraction, offered me alternatives and made me feel very reassured. The process was very quick and went smoothly. She even took a look at the rest of my mouth and offered advice on another tooth. I left the office feeling super relieved and with my problem finally solved. I was given extra gauze and an after care sheet afterwards. She also has a super cute dog! I would definitely recommend her to others.

Always a joy to come to this office! I have been seeing Dr. State for going on 4 years and will continue until I no longer live here— whenever that may be. Dr. State is committed to excellence and is always doing her best work every day. Wait times may be up to an hour, but I now plan accordingly and bring some video games to hold me over. The waiting room is small and I find that other patients will bring their entire family for a single person’s visit, which I will never understand, but the front desk is always managing appointments efficiently. Dr. State has attended to my husband as well and always does right by us. I’ve recommended her to many friends over the years.

My crown fell off 3 times in a matter of 6 months because of a mistake my previous dentist made. I went to two other dentists but they didn't really help, i even got a new crown but it still fell off. Its been months since i visited Dr. Ligia and i have had no problems with my crown. She's very nice and she is the most skillful dentist i've had.

For my scheduled appointment, I was the one who was actually late an hour. I called ahead of time just in case. The second I walk in it was Dr. Ligia that greeted me.
Before her I was traumatized by my previous dentists. So she was extremely understanding and helped me feel comfortable. Definitely will go back again, she’s very kind and relatable.
