About Dr. Laura Rhein
Dr. Laura Rhein is a general and cosmetic dentist, originally from Darien, CT. She moved to New York City where she began her dental career at New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU, she was passionate about her education in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Rhein was chosen to be in NYU’s Honors in Esthetic Dentistry program where she was able to enhance the smiles of many patients with porcelain and ceramic veneers and crowns. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, she subsequently completed a General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens.
Dr. Rhein is especially passionate about making patients feel calm and comfortable under her care. When she is not practicing dentistry, she can be found traveling, cooking, and going for long walks around NYC.

I’ve been going to Upper East Smiles for many years. I’ve seen a variety of providers, and they’ve all been fantastic. The front desk staff as well! It speaks to how well they must treat and train the staff. I always have anxiety going to any doctor, but every time I’ve gone to Upper East Smiles, I always leave there kicking myself, wondering why I was so anxious in the first place. Highly recommend!

Dental office and dentist were great. They were efficient, explained the options and dealt with the problem. What I loved as well was that they were very clear about what the treatment would cost before they took the next steps, which is so much better than getting a random bill in 3 months time.

The Front staff, hygienist, X-ray tech and dentist couldn't have nicer . The office was clean, timely and everyone handled themselves in a professional manner. I felt the dentist was honest with her examination and did not try to sell any unnecessary work to be done.

I had an urgent concern and need for a dentist to evaluate a tooth. My primary dentist office is closed on Saturday. Thankfully, Upper East Smiles is open and Dr. Rhein was available. She was able to quickly assess my concern and reassure me that I didn't have an emergency. I'm a health care professional and I found her thinking and approach to the problem consistent with my way of thinking. She's an asset to the dental office team, and I would choose her as my primary dentist if I were in search of one. Best regards to her and the friendly and efficient staff

The receptionist told me about the coverage of my dental insurance while the dentist was working on my teeth. When she finished I was charged more money of what the receptionist said before, they didn’t give me the correct information. They should be more careful with the information they provide to the patients.

Dr. Rhein is an excellent dentist. She took the time to explain every step of the process, making sure I felt comfortable and informed throughout my appointment. She caught issues that had been missed by my previous dentists and provided personalized recommendation for improvement. She listened to my concerns and seemingly tailored her approach to my needs. Her passion for dentistry shines through in everything else she does, and it's clear that she's dedicated to providing exceptional care.

As someone who generally dreads the dentist, Dr. Rhein immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease during my visit. She is professional, kind, warm, and honest. You can tell she really cares and is a perfectionist when it comes to your teeth. I cannot recommend Dr Rhein enough for any dental needs.

Dr Rhein made my dental experience so pleasant! She was thorough but very gentle and had amazing bedside manner. I normally dread going to the dentist, but have never been so comfortable and relaxed in a dental appointment. Highly recommend Dr Rhein!

Dr. Rhein is the best! I've had a number of dental issues (cavities, root canals, etc), and wouldn't see anyone else. She's incredibly skilled and thorough, always taking the time to explain each step and process I appreciate how much she truly cares about her patients and goes above and beyond to create a calm and personal experience. I highly recommend Dr. Rhein to anyone seeking outstanding dental care.
