More about Dr. Lizette Valiente, DMD
Dr. Valiente is a pediatric dentist with a passion for instilling a positive experience in her patients. Dr. Valiente completed her dental degree (D.M.D.) at Nova Southeastern University and upon completion, worked for two years as a general dentist before deciding to return to Nova Southeastern University to earn her specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry. During her extensive post-doctoral training, Dr. Valiente worked at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital as well as Broward General Hospital treating children with extensive dental needs. In addition, she received rigorous training in the use of oral sedatives for children with dental fear and is devoted to working with young children as well as patients with special needs to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for their dental care. She is trained in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and has professional affiliations with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association.
Dr. Valiente believes in community service; she has participated in mission trips to Jamaica and has been part of community events such as "Give Kids a Smile". She is originally from Cartagena, Colombia and has lived in South Florida for the last 21 years. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and is an avid dog lover.

This was a first time visit, new patient visit. I was able to complete the paperwork ahead of time by printing from website, thereby decreasing our wait time. The staff was also very efficient and courteous. The whole visit took only about an hour.

The office is beautiful and kid friendly. The staff is very pleasant. My only problem is that I had a 830am appointment and waited more than an hour to be called in. There were way too many appointments scheduled during the same time frame.
