Dr. Phan has a small office in busy Arlington, VA near the Ballston metro station. Nevertheless, her experience is top notch. I have a pretty busy schedule, and yet I always find it easy to schedule an appointment with Dr. Phan. The best part is, I have yet to have to wait for an appointment in her office. She always directs me straight to my chair.

This dentist is literally the only one that works in this office, at least when I visited. No receptionist, no dental assistant, not up to date with technology. She was very friendly, but unfortunately I would not trust her to be able to handle anything more than a dental cleaning by herself (and even then, it was a bit of a struggle).

I have been seeing Dr. Phan for over 20 years. Unlike all of the new commercial dentists that are coming to town, she doesn't try to sell you on processes that you don't need. You can trust her. She is a wonderful person who is loyal to her profession and her clients. I would urge anyone who is new to the area or anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy dentist to make an appointment.

RUN. It's a one woman show. She's the receptionist, hygienist, cleaning lady and dentist. I had to wait in an office that reaked of curry while she finished up. Then when she took me to the back the place was a mess. Cups with plaster in the sinks and just messy back there. The equipment is very outdated. She did not make up for it either. The cleaning was a joke. She barely rubbed a few teeth and hardly scraped anything. I'm so upset she wasted my dental insurances xray and cleaning. The only advice she gave me was not to throw dental floss into the toilet.

I dread going to the dentist and hadn't been in years. I went to see Dr. Phan, and sure enough I had plenty of cavities. She was so patient and calming, the experience ended up being wonderful and I'm so glad I went in to see her. I'll definitely be in every 6 months for routine check-ups, and she even schedules 8am appointments so that I can come in before work.

She was wonderful! My appt was right on time, she recommended a great oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth removed, and my teeth really felt clean after she did my cleaning!

I've never been one to actually 'hate' going to the dentist or associate it with great pain, but I understood this sentiment after my visit. Afterward wincing in the chair for 15 minutes, my gums were bleeding. Also, she got one of the tools stuck in my tooth while trying to show me a minor cavity. Dr. Phan was very friendly and knowledgeable, but I'll opt for someone who can provide a less painful dental exam/cleaning next time.

Mai has been our family dentist since 1995. She is simply amazing. I have a very complicated dental situation, and she has worked wonders.

The reception staff were pretty average but at least I didn't have to wait. Coming from an exceptional dentist prior to moving to NOVA I knew it was going to be hard to top but I was a little concerned Dr. Phan was not very thorough. I felt like i'd been slapped through the carwash.. Got the job done but not enough for me to recommend.

This was the best visit to the dentist I have ever had. I had extensive drilling and Dr. Phan did a great job. I did not feel any pain.

Chose Dr. Phan because of the convenience of location, would probably recommend her for dental regulars. That was my first dental appointment in a while, and I wasn't feeling super comfortable when my teeth were cleaned, and I felt Dr. Phan didn't care that much.
