About Dr. Su Jung Kang

Dr. Su Jung Kang is a compassionate general dentist who believes in a patient-centered approach to dental care. She focuses on overall health and its maintenance as a priority when mapping out thorough treatment plans to provide a better quality of care. She creates an atmosphere of open communication, taking the opportunity not only to get to know her patients but also encouraging them to get to know her. Dr. Kang attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Kang has participated in Mission of Mercy (MOM) projects in coordination with the Virginia Dental Association and dental student volunteers. MOM provides much-needed dental care to underserved areas of Virginia, where there are not enough dental practitioners to adequately address the oral health needs of the community. She is a member of the American Dental Association and is fluent in both English and Korean, which is her first language. Outside of work, Dr. Kang enjoys spending time at home with her lovely cat Hodu (which is Korean for ?walnut?), watching movies, and playing video games with her fianc?.
