Dr. Maria Jose Ucros loves being a Dentist and continuously improving her patient’s oral health. She is a native-born Colombian and attended the Metropolitan University College of Dentistry in Barranquilla, Colombia, where she was granted her DMD degree in 1996. Then, she was trained in Advanced techniques in Oral Rehabilitation at San Martin University in 1997. Dr. Ucros grew up in Colombia and is proud to have been part of Asometro, a non-profit Dental organization in charge of organizing and giving conferences and dental meetings to all graduated Dentists from her alma mater. After a few years of practicing, Dr. Ucros relocated to Miami in 2003, where she continued her education, graduating from the Advanced Education General Dentistry residency program at the University of Florida, Gainesville in 2015. She has been practicing for over 20 years and enjoys the challenge of providing quality family dentistry while enhancing her clinical skills. Dr. Ucros is compassionate and enjoys taking the time to explain to the patients their oral needs. She is inspired to keep educating her patients in preventive oral care and providing comprehensive dental services. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, getting to know new restaurants and places, listening to music, and sometimes staying home to be with her family.
