Dr. Skolnick and his staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly from the moment you walk into the office until the moment you leave. My son has been working with Dr. Skolnick on the Myo Brace, and I am very happy with his treatment. Aside from being the only office I know of that offers Myo Brace, Dr. Skolnick and his orthodontic staff patiently and happily address all my questions and concerns. On top of this, the office itself is beautiful and I practically have to pry my son out of the game-room after each visit.

At the age of 12, Dr. Michael Skolnick got his braces on and was so inspired that he decided one day he would become an Orthodontist himself. After Graduating at the top of his dental class, Dr Michael entered the Orthodontic Residency program at NYU and his aspirations became a reality. Dr Michael is very excited working at Pearly Whites in Berkeley Heights, NJ, a community that is very special to him because he was raised there. Dr. Michael sits on the board of numerous dental insurances advising the State of New Jersey about the policies concerning dentistry and orthodontics. This commitment to his field and his patients has earned him the award of Best Orthodontist in New Jersey for 2013 and 2014 by his peers (NJ Family Magazine).
While Dr. Michael offers traditional braces, Invisalign, and clear braces, his approach to orthodontics is unique because he does not just focus on the teeth. "Crooked teeth are a result of how we use our lips and tongue, in combination with other oral habits. It is imperative that we think about correcting these bad habits, not just fixing what they have done to a person's teeth." Pearly Whites also offers a different orthodontic procedure. This myofuncational approach is often less invasive for children who are very receptive to the treatment. Not only do you end up with straight teeth, but correct function which will keep your teeth straight and provide a host of other health benefits.
