Dr. Izadi is a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, which is a specialty within dentistry that involves the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. He attended Howard University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May of 1992, and graduated in the top four with honors. He then entered the orthodontic program and graduated with the highest ranking, earning a specialty degree in orthodontics.
He started practicing orthodontics in May 1994 at several busy orthodontic practices in the greater Baltimore area until December 1998, when Dr. Izadi started his own practice in the Mays Chapel area of Timonium, MD. Dr. Izadi also started his second practice in Cascades at the Potomac Falls Professional Center in Sterling, Virginia in May 2005.
Dr. Izadi electively passed the written and oral part of the American Board of Orthodontics exams in 1994 and 2001, respectively. He also completed the presentation of six special orthodontic cases assigned by the board from start to finish in February 2007, and in doing so, qualified as a board certified orthodontist.
He has passed two regional board examinations and holds licenses to practice orthodontics in both Virginia and Maryland. He constantly takes continuing education courses and will continue to deliver the best possible care that orthodontics may offer for both children and adults.
