Dr. Mouhammad Dahman comes from a strong background in dentistry and health care with 9 of his close family members in healthcare occupations, 3 of whom are dentists. He started his passion for dentistry early at 17 years of age in his hometown Damascus and graduated in the top 10% of his class with a D.M.D. at the age of 22. He moved to Buffalo, NY in 2003 where he earned his Master’s Degree in Oral Sciences in a record time. His research was published in scientific journals and presented in International meetings. He then followed an intensive 2-year general dentistry program in Loma Linda, CA in which he was granted his D.D.S. and awarded the Clinical Excellence Award as the best clinician of his class.
Dr. Dahman has been in private practice since 2006 in sunny Florida. He still devotes hundreds of hours to continuing education and strictly adheres to the path of excellence to which he committed himself 16 years ago. He is a Fellowship candidate in the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Dental Implant Association, and a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry working towards it’s prestigious accreditation. He was selected among America’s top dentists by the Consumers Research Counsel of America the years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Dr. Dahman has very gentle hands, and he truly enjoys what he does. He finds the difference dentistry can make in someone's life in a short period of time to be incredibly gratifying. He prides himself on the ability to listen to his patients and put himself in their place. His guiding principle is “what would I do if these were my teeth?”
Being a new resident in Northern VA and a newly wed, Dr. Dahman is exploring all the amazing culture and life the capital has to offer. He enjoys world traveling, scuba diving, motorcycling, Rally-car racing and Les Mills fitness classes he used to teach.
