About Dr. Oscar Valle Cintron
Dr. Oscar Valle-Cintrón chose to become a dentist because he loves being able to improve both a person’s health and appearance at the same time. He believes that a meticulous but gentle approach to dentistry is the best way to make sure his patients always get their desired results and have a positive experience while they are under his care.
He went on to get his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry. After receiving his doctorate, he completed post-doctoral training right here in Washington, DC at Howard University (where he also served as chief resident). Over the course of his career, he has received multiple awards and honors, including The American Academy of Oral Medicine Award and the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Award. He has also participated in several medical mission trips both locally and abroad, including trips to the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Dr. Valle is fluent in English and Spanish, a certified Invisalign provider, and he is trained in using computer-aided design/manufacturing technology. He is proud to be a part of the team at Dlight Dental because it allows him to focus all of his attention on what truly matters, and that’s his patients. Dr. Valle is married with a beautiful baby boy and two dogs. Outside of dentistry, his hobbies include drumming, paddle boarding, snowboarding, cooking, and traveling.

The dentist was good. the only thing is that he used his assistant too often. Sometimes when I thought he was cleaning my teeth it was actually the assistant doing it.

I was a new patient at this dentist and it was a great experience. The hygienist took their time with my cleaning and the exam from the dentist was great! He even did an oral cancer screening, which I believe was my first time having one. He asked if I had any concerns or questions and was a great listener. I even got a free whitening kit sample with my toothbrush and travel size toothpaste goodies! Looking forward to this being my new dental provider.

Really good appt, nice offices, appt from start to finish less than an hour with x rays! Definitely recommend. I’m not squeamish about dentists but think even if you were you’d feel comfortable.

Was able to get an appointment to fix my permanent retainer which broke on Monday. Not only did Dr Valle Cintron fix it but he fitted me for a night guard since I’ve been having jaw pain - he confirmed I’m grinding my teeth. Excited to have found a great doctor!

Very pleasant experience overall. Kim, my dental hygienist was prompt, courteous, very informative, gentle and pleasant. Dr. Valle-Cintron was warm and listened to my concerns. Very handy that the office has an on-site periodontist as well - makes referral appointment booking a breeze! Will be returning and will be sending my husband as well :-)
