Dr. M.Amer is the recipient of America's Top Dentist of 2009 award for General, Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Amer holds a double degree in dentistry, a B.D.S. degree from Alexandria University and a D.D.S. degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He completed a two-year residency programs at Staten Island University Hospital, one of the most prestigious residency programs in the country. During his residency program he was chosen chief resident.
Dr. Amer is an active faculty member at Staten Island University Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association and the 2nd District Dental Society of New York.
He obtained his Fellowship and Mastership in The International Congress Of Oral Implantologists (FIOI,MICOI).
His familiarity with the latest advances in dental technology and procedures insures that his patients receive optimal dental care.

Highly disappointed in my visit. Dentist told me I had 6 cavities and then I followed up with my main dentist who informed me that I had 0 cavities.

Dr Amer and his staff are very kind and friendly. However, he was a bit abrasive throughout the procedures. While I know that a root canal is certainly not a pleasant experience, this was unusually painful and has required subsequent follow-ups as the procedure was not completed properly the first time. I have been in much discomfort, and I'm still extremely sensitive to hot/cold food and drink nearly 1 year after the procedure was completed. I will be switching doctors.

I think he is a very kind and gentle dentist with a great bedside manner. The whole staff was very pleasant and made you feel very comfortable at all times. Once they brought you into A room they actually did things and did not leave you there unattended for any amount of time. I definitely would recommend this dentist.

It was good. I did not wait longer than five minutes. They took xrays for me and told me exactly what need to be done. Dr Amer did excellent job with fixing my teeth. I will recommend him to my friends and family.
