“l found the entire experience at Smile in the City to be extremely pleasant and professional. The staff was very nice and the doctor clearly strives to provide her patients with a great visit. The office looks more like a 5-star hotel than a dental office, and creates a feeling of relaxation and comfort. When you are there, you know you're in good hands with a very polished and professional staff and great doctor.
I had a routine check-up and amazing cleaning yesterday, but in the past I've had 2 implants done here and the entire process was exellent.”

Dr. Nargiz Schmidt is a highly skilled prosthodontist specializing in reconstructive, aesthetic, and implant dentistry. Her motto is “A properly crafted smile can transform every aspect of a person’s life.”
Dr. Schmidt’s journey in dentistry began with her doctoral degree from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where she excelled academically and received numerous awards for her clinical achievements. Building upon her general dentistry experience and completing a GPR program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, she pursued an Advanced Educational in Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Schmidt is highly regarded as a distinguished lecturer and seminar leader in Aesthetic Dentistry and Full Mouth Reconstruction. She is an international keynote speaker on topics of aesthetic dentistry for DenMat and Orthosnap. Smile in the city is a top notch, state of the art dental practice w/the most committed, caring, and professional staff I have ever experience. Yes, they are expensive, but before deciding to have my cosmetic work done, I did a lot of research on the average costs of what I would need, and while they were on the higher end, they were w/in the average rang for what the practice offers and for being in NYC. They have a full staff on call at all times, so whatever you need, you get... right then and there. For that reason alone, you get what you pay for. But that is just the beginning. The whole time you are there they go out of your way. If you have a dental fear, as I do, they are certified in dental sedation and administer w/out lectures or judgement. They explain everything in depth from start to finish, answer all questions, return all phone calls, and have never given me a problem when I needed to reschedule an appt. at the last minute. It is clear from the beginning that they care deeply about their patients comfort and happiness. Their main goals are for you to have a great experience so you will never have to deal w/dental anxiety again and for you to be thrilled w/your smile.
