Doctor and office staff are very proffessional. Doctor explained everything to me and she did a very good check up and cleaning of my teeth. The only thing is that her office is in a second floor with very steep staircase and no elevator. If you are elderly or disable you may have some problems to get to her office.

Dr. Parul Makkar is a dentist treating patients in Richmond Hill, New York, and the surrounding communities. In order to pursue her doctoral dental education, Dr. Makkar attended the University of Oklahoma. She remained at the university to complete interdisciplinary training in child abuse and neglect. Dr. Makkar has also completed a general practice residency program at the Staten Island University Hospital.
Patients visiting Dr. Makkar can receive a full range of both general and cosmetic dental services. She provides fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, veneers, and dental cleanings. Treatment for wisdom tooth problems and dental emergencies is also available. Sweet personality and the staff are great. The wait time is short. However my 9 year old has a lot of dental issues. She had cavities a d received fill in’s they all fell out within a couple of months. Had to find a new dentist, sadly.

I came here for a Dental Emergency, I was in so much pain due to what I thought was a simple filling. I ended up having to have my wisdom tooth removed. I was very skeptical about this because I’ve heard horrible stories. Dr. Makkah was very patient with me and answered all questions. She was very gentle with the whole thing considering I was having a lot of work done at once! I’m glad I have found a new dentist where I feel comfortable.

She was very sweet and explanatory and very clear on what she was gonna do . I would recommend anyone to go see her . I was scared for life from my prior dentest and told her why I haven't been to the dentist in such long time but she made me feel at ease and was very gentle. I didn't feel no pain at all and was done in less then 30 min . I had my teeth extract. I would go back to her any day . Thank you for a such a wonderful experience I will come see u more often now .

The last 3 visits very horrible she couldn't find a big cavity in tooth 17 and I don't know how??? I suffered for 3 weeks I even SAW her father in law who filled in for her one day ,,and still nothing the pain was unbearable,,Good person but apperently not a qualified dentist to me ,,horrible experience. I had an emergency procedure done to my tooth at the HOSPITAL,,IM MUCH BETTER NOW AND RECOVERING...
