His practice is general restorative offering a variety of dental services to meet his patient's needs. He is actively involved in the ADA, CDA, San Francisco Dental Society as well as the prominent American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is currently an instructor for the Center for Advanced Dental Studies.

They run a very tight ship here. Everyone, including the receptionist, billing, Dr. Hoyt and technical assistants are very pleasant and professional.
I could tell Dr. Hoyt was trying very hard to stick to the patients appointment times by working quickly and efficiently. I wish the technician assistants would tell me what to expect before the Dr. Hoyt got to work on me today though. I had no idea what the procedure was going to be like in terms of anesthesia, pain or discomfort that'd be involved. I have a very high pain tolerance compared to most, so I got through it fine, but it did make me uneasy at times.
Overall this team is professional, effective and very pleasant. They don't keep you waiting ever if you show up to your appointments on time!

Dr. Hoyt is a total professional. He tells you exactly what he's doing during the procedure and appointment. He uses photography to show you your plaque, cavities, decay, etc. It's gross, but super helpful so you know exactly what needs to be done.

Dr. Hoyt and his staff are great. They are courteous, gentile and keep their appointments (which is always really important but even moreso in the Financial District of SF).
I will admit though that I feel pressured into expensive treatments each time I visit. And I feel like they are disappointed when I don't do them. Like there is this guilt factor and I'm apprehensive about getting "lectured". I dread the post-cleaning consult just as much as the cleaning itself.

I feel I have the best care possible under Dr. Hoyt and his team. His work is top quality and because of him I know my teeth and the health of my mouth are as good as could possibly be.

For various reasons I have not seen a/my dentist for over five years. I recently called to make an appointment, and was given one within a week from my call. When I arrived at the office I was greeted with such warmth and smiles by the entire staff. I really felt welcomed back with no hint of "why did you stay away for so long?" It was authentic on every level. The examination by Dr . Hoyt was complete and gentle. He remembered that I am his most "dental phobic" patient. The visit felt like coming home.
