Dr. Zarei has been in the practice dentistry for 25 years. A native of Iowa he was one of the youngest graduates from the University of Iowa School of dentistry. Dr. Zarei graduated in the top 5% of his class and furthered his education with a general practice hospital residency in New York City. He is a graduate of the United States Dental institute for orthodontics and attends a prodigious amount continuing education to better serve his patients.
He is section chief of department of surgery at St. Mary and Elizabeth medical center in the wicker park area. He provides excellent service, but what Is most evident is his caring attitude towards his patients and his emphasis on prevention.
Being on staff at a hospital complex, our main focus is prevention of dental problems and improving the general health of our patients. We provide high standard of care and have a long term approach with our patients. We care for them as family and want their best. That is why our focus starts with informing our patients of their oral conditions, treatment needs. Next we provide affordable options that allow them to achieve their goals, and follow through with providing the best treatment possible.
We provide excellent care from all disciplines of dentistry including restoration of teeth, maintaining excellent gum health, orthodontics to straighten teeth, and ways to brighten and improve patients smile. However, none of this happens before we get to know our patients as individuals and hear their needs and wants.

To be honest, I think he was one of the best dentists I've ever seen. By no means was he mean, but he wasn't the most friendly, loveable guy - but he definitely knew teeth. He was very blunt about telling me what's wrong and what needs to happens to fix it. I appreciated that, instead of the alternative of masquerading with meaningless fluff. 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Zarei is professional and knowledgeable. He and his staff made me feel very safe. They take care to explain everything. The office is clean and bright. I felt very well attenended to and experienced very little discomfort during an intensive cleaning.

Dr. Zarei was extremely friendly and knowledgable. What I most appreciated, other than his effort to implicate as little pain as possible on my tooth, was his calmness. I was rather anxious and my body was very tense throughout the session (though the procedure was really not that bad at all in terms of pain). I just had no idea what to expect since I hadn't gone in for a check up in some time. He remained calm, and patiently answered my questions.

I visited Dr. Zarei's office for a cleaning, and consultation on my broken tooth. I have since had that tooth replaced (quick, easily, mostly painless), and had subsequent cleanings. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding.

Set dental cleaning appointment for 4.30pm. Went in on time and filled up paperwork and waited for at least 30-45 minutes.
Since I was a new patient, I need to explain a lot of different things. Also, they wanted to take a full mouth x-ray which I have from my ortho just 6 months ago. (not sure if I needed so many full mouth x-rays as home decor but we took bite-wing x-ray instead)
Has schedule to return for other works. Overall 8/10 with the staff and the facility.
