Dr. Cocolis and his staff are so pleasant- they make going to the dentist fun! I had a small cavity that needed to be filled, so Dr. Cocolis suggested using "the laser" instead of the drill. As a result, I didn't need novocaine, and it took less than 15 minutes to drill and fill the cavity and I was on any way.No numbness to deal with for the next few hours. I was able to go right into meeting at work ! As always, a big thank you to Dr. Cocolis and his staff !

Dr. Peter K. Cocolis, Jr., a native of the Springfield area, received a BS in Chemistry from The College of William and Mary. Dr. Cocolis is a distinguished graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed two years of advanced general dental training at the University of Virginia, where he served as chief resident. He is a Fellow with the Misch Implant Institute; Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and also participates in numerous continuing education courses. Dr. Cocolis is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Implant Society of Northern Virginia, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS) and has published two research papers in Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry.
Recently honored by a vote of his peers, Dr. Cocolis was selected to be included in the “The Best Dentists in America” – a guide to excellence in the dental profession. Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine have recognized Dr. Cocolis as one of the “Best Dentists in the Metropolitan Area.” Dr. Cocolis is a member of the West Springfield Rotary Club, and served as President for 2005 and 2006. He received the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce “Corporate Citizen of the Year” award for 2007. An avid swimmer, he is a member of the Burke Racquet and Swim Club’s Masters team. Dr. Cocolis recently received a Masters from the Association of General Dentistry, which is the highest award for continuing dental education presented by the Academy of General Dentistry. He was elected President of the Northern Virginia Dental Society and will serve as President 2013-2014.

I never thought I would actually enjoy going to the dentist! Dr. Cocolis and the whole team are so wonderful, fun, and professional, it hardly seems fair that going to the dentist can be so easy!

My fear of having a very, very old filling replaced prevented me from making an appointment for over three months. Being tired of only chewing on one side, I finally gave in and to my surprise... I would have stayed in Dr. Cocolis' dental chair for more work that day! Thanks to his ultra modern equipment, awesome chair-side manner, and terrific staff, I will never fear another appointment! Thank you so much, Dr. Cocolis!

Dr Cocolis is the best! The office/staff/dentists are the best. They use the most up to date to date technology and it makes for better dentistry and aesthetic results. He is continuously attending seminars/workshop etc. to improve his office/practice which is the tell-tale sign of a great dentist! Dont go anywhere else!

The entire staff was professional and very nice. Dr. Cocolis did a great job on the work I needed done, and kept me laughing the whole time. I was originally scheduled to have the work done over 2 appointments but he was able to do everything in one appointment.

Service quality from check in through cleaning. Was great. I have been going to this office for many years and have nothing but positive comments. They adopt and integrate new dental care and Diagnostic Technology (eg cancer screening & imaging enhancements) and go above & beyond to ensure their patients are comfortable & understand the procedures.
