Richard Myers, D.D.S., has practiced dentistry for over 40 years. His dental degree is from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. His undergraduate degree is from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana. Upon completion of his dental training, he served a dental residency at the VA Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Myers had a dual appointment of teaching at the University of Michigan Dental School as well as a full-time staff dentist. After six years, he moved to Toledo, Ohio to become chief operations of the Toledo VA Outpatient Clinic. He had dual appointments of teaching and practicing at the University of Michigan, Chief of Operations at Toledo VA Outpatient Clinic, many Mission trips outside the US, and 22 years of private practice in Boulder, CO. He has been with CDG since 2018.
In 1983, Dr. Myers began private practice in Sylvania, Ohio. In 1996, he and his family moved to Boulder, Colorado to once again set up a private dental practice. For the past 22 years, Dr. Myers has practiced dentistry in Boulder, Colorado with an emphasis on restorative dentistry.
Dr. Myers continued his education through the prestigious Pankey Institute. As a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, he completed its requirement of a minimum of 500 hours of continuing dental education. Dr. Myers is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Boulder County Dental Society and Denver Academy of Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Myers has been able to fulfill a unique vision of dentistry. He has participated in dental missions, and programs that bring his dental services free of charge to people in countries without sufficient access to dental care. Past trips have included trips to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Haiti.
