Dr. Newman is not only an amazing professional and incredibly talented, he and his office staff are warm, friendly, competent and efficient. We chose to travel a little bit further from our home so that we could see the best orthodontist in the area. Really can't say enough good things. Dr. Newman is wonderful & most of all my son's teeth look amazing!

Dr. Richard Newman, a native of Livingston, NJ, went into private practice with his father, Dr. George Newman, in 1995. Dr. Richard Newman is proud to continue the tradition of offering quality orthodontic care, as Dr. George Newman is internationally recognized as the first orthodontist to bond orthodontic braces to teeth.
Dr. Richard Newman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania where he currently serves as chairman of the Morris County Secondary School Committee for the department of admissions. He graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with top honors and was elected to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Dr. Newman received his specialty certificate in orthodontics from Columbia University in New York.
Dr. Newman is chief orthodontist for the Regional Craniofacial Center at St. Barnabas Medical Center. As a member of this interdisciplinary team, Dr. Newman volunteers his time providing care for individuals suffering from cleft lip and palate problems. He has had several articles published in many journals including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. As chairman of Children's Dental Health Month, Dr. Newman speaks to students at local schools about the importance of good oral hygiene.

Dr. Richard Newman is an outstanding orthodontist. My son was nervous about getting braces. Dr. Newman thoroughly explained the treatment and put him at ease. His entire staff from the front desk to the assistants are knowledgeable, warm and caring. We enthusiastically recommend Dr. Newman.
