Dr. Waghalter is always very cordial and professional. I really appreciate how careful and attentive to me he is. If he senses that I am uncomfortable or in any pain whatsoever he immediately addresses it. I've never been to a dentist whose shots don't hurt!

Richard Waghalter is an attentive and compassionate dentist specializing in periodontology and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Waghalter strives to keep his patients comfortable and to find a treatment that suits their needs. He takes pride in his team’s state-of-the-art facility. He offers a variety of services, such as esthetic dentistry, gum grafts, dental implants, and full mouth reconstructions. Conditions he treats include TMJ pain, wisdom tooth problems, broken teeth, and halitosis.
Dr. Waghalter received his doctorate from the University of Illinois’ College of Dentistry Chicago and received his certificate in periodontics from the University of Michigan. He continues his education by attending lectures through the Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Waghalter is currently a member of several organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.
When he is not working, Dr. Waghalter enjoys working out, computers, and music. He plays the piano and saxophone.

Please heed my warnings and DO NOT come into this office for dental work. I had found Dr. Waghalter from what I thought were great reviews on ZocDoc. I went in for a check up in which he convinced me to pull all my wisdom teeth along with some cavity fillings. The only thing he did was barely numb my gums before breaking my wisdom tooth in a million pieces. He then proceeded to put in over 100 stitches in which I could feel every one. I told him time and time again that the shot had worn off but he didnt seem to care. It was the most traumatic experience of my life as I could feel EVERYTHING! I told myself I was never going back to a dentist for the rest of my life but low and behold my cavity filling he put in completely came out! From further xrays it showed that I still have pieces of broken tooth that are making their way into my sinus cavity requiring surgery to fix. I hope that this review will help at least one person avoid going to this doctor as Im now traumatized. Please please please go somewhere else!

I saw Dr Waghalter for some regular dental work this January. While the reviews here of Dr Waghalter are exceptional , My personal experience has been otherwise.
The quality of the work he provided is not good. My cavities are probably back within the month and half and I am required to see another dentist now.
Also, his office did not let us know that he was not "in-network" with my insurance. Only when the final invoice was sent to us, we figured this out. When we questioned, the office brushed off saying they did let us know ahead - and if it was true, we would not have been seen by Dr. Waghalter.

I was astonished when Dr. Waghalter came to the waiting area to greet me and shook my hand to take me to his office. After reviewing my initial concerns, he wanted more detail information which made his diagnosis. He was really hands on detailed and ensured I was very comfortable with all procedures. He did all procedures beginning to end. When he left me, I was walking to the check out station. I wish I could have found him at the very beginning of my concerns to eliminate unnecessary visits to other practice!

Visit Reason: General cleaning & X-rays. Dr. Waghalter and staff were very friendly! During the cleaning, Dr. Waghalter was more than happy to discuss preventative care and offer advice on improving oral hygiene (Ex: We discussed common problem areas in the mouth to focus on when brushing/flossing as well as personalized advice). I highly recommend coming here for dental care and I plan to come back in the future!

Dr. Waghalter is the ultimate best in his field. During the years when I had gum problems, his care and instructions saved my teeth. Also, later on he put crowns on most of my teeth. I have had so many compliments on my smile and the color of my teeth is perfect. I would highly recommend Dr. Waghalter for cosmetic or gum problems.

Dr. Waghalter has been my dentist for many years, I so very much enjoy the time we spend chatting about non-dental events in our lives, and, the professional service is above average, I am sure. Friends who go to other dentists complain about a crown falling off, or a filling falling out, this has never happened with Dr. Waghalter. First class all the way!

Dr. Waghalter was a very nice guy. I was a new patient and he took the time to get to know me, explain his procedures, the x-ray results, etc. to me. Just to note, he did not have a separate dental hygienist do the cleaning during my visit, but a separate lady did take the x-rays.
I do question the thoroughness of the cleaning/inspection of my teeth. I am not a dentist, but I'm just comparing my experience with previous visits to other dentists.
