Great dentist. I travel 45 minutes to take my kids there. The only dentist my kids don’t cry! My kids are 4 and 5 and had them like in 3 different dentist until I found him. Staying with him. My kids love going to the dentist!

I was born and raised in Canada (… not in an igloo, eh…), and completed my Honours Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry at the University of Toronto in 2002. Following my undergraduate studies, I ventured south of the Canadian border and obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the prestigious Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery.
After dental school, I wanted to expand my dental horizons and underwent rigorous training in a General Practice Residency at Harvard University, sharing my time between Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Insititute. It was during this time in Boston where I found my passion for Pediatric Dentistry. Subsequently, I obtained a Fellowship Certificate in Special Care Dentistry at Helen Hayes Hospital in Rockland, NY, where I was privileged to treat special needs patients both in the traditional dental setting and in the operating room. Following this fellowship, I spent two additional years of Pediatric training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, where I received extensive training in all aspects of pediatric dental care. During my time at Montefiore, I was elected by my colleagues and attending faculty as the Chief Resident of the Pediatric Dental program.
All of my extensive post-graduate training has enhanced my expertise in all aspects of Pediatric Dentistry, including behaviour management and guidance techniques, preventive and restorative treatment of caries, treatment of developmentally disabled children and adults, major and minor dental trauma, orthodontics, and treatment of patients under sedation and in the operating room. I am one of few pediatric dentists in the U.S. that is certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

I just moved to the area from out of state and was hopeful to find a good pediatric dentist. When I found Dr. Verma I was relieved and from the first visit he himself and his staff are friendly and professional. The office is spotless and geared towards children 100%. My daughter has to receive extensive work on her teeth and the day if the procedure she was in and out in 40 min with no issues. I must say she finally loves her Dentist! Will recommend to family and friends.

Dr. Verma has such a great way of making my children feel comfortable. Usually we only see him for check ups and have always been very pleased but last night my daughter hurt her mouth and was bleeding a lot. Dr. Verma was responsive to messages after hours and fit us in today for a follow up to make sure everything was ok. Going above and beyond for his patients is really something that sets Dr. Verma apart. His staff is wonderful, accommodating, and always cheerful and friendly with the kids. I can't imagine recommending any other pediatric dentist as highly as Star Pediatric. They are the best!

We have two daughters (3 & 5), and we were new patients to Dr. Verma's office just a few months ago. Since then, we have been to the office on two other occasions because our older daughter needed quite a bit of work done. Each and every visit was a great experience... Dr. Verma really has a genuine care for his patients, and he made us all feel very at ease with the procedures that needed to be done. In addition to Dr. Verma being so wonderful, the staff is also great. From the moment you walk in the door until the moment you walk out, you and your child feel very well taken care of. My daughter tells me that she is actually excited to go to the dentist, and I think that's awesome! We look forward to many more visits with Dr. Verma!

Extremely impressed from the moment I walked in with the ambiance to the warm, caring staff. They truly cater to and love kids. Dr. Verma cares so deeply. I was touched when my son was anxious, Dr. Verma looked into my son's eyes and said,"Everything will be ok...there's nothing to be scared of...you will do great." He is a father himself and the way he spoke to my son reminded me of the way my husband speaks to our son in moments of fear or anxiety. He used simple terms the kids would understand with every step of the dental procedure, "Bite on the pillow, the raincoat will help, breathe through your nose, you will be like you're going to float away, etc". Such a pleasant experience and we are so so thankful Dr. Verma was highly recommended to us. We strongly recommend him as well!

This was a terrific experience both for me and my 3 year old! The staff, specifically Shannon, were great at making my child feel comfortable. The dentist was excellent and great at relating to my son, and talking to him in an age appropriate way. My son left the office telling everyone that he saw the nice dentist. We had a terrible experience at a previous dentist-not at this office-so this was such a wonderful experience, and they were able to help my child get over that negative one to create a positive dental experience. He's excited to go back!

What a pleasant experience my daughter and I had. She felt so comfortable that she had no anxiety at all. The staff was wonderful. The doctor was exceptional. I called with a concern, Star Pediatric Dental scheduled us in right away, the same day. My son wanted to go see HIS dentist. My son is very reserved and a bit anxious but he loves this office and he really likes Dr. Verma a lot. This is all new to him but he feels very comfortable here. No tears or hesitation at all this time. He was very nervous our first visit. We would highly recommend anyone to go this wonderful group of people.

Our general dentist gave us a referral for a pediatric dentist because our 4 year old was very anxious and scared. We did our research and found Dr. Verma with excellent reviews and now we can be another patient to give him 5 stars across the board. Our son and we were very comfortable with Dr. Verma and placed full trust in him. He was extremely patient, calm and friendly with our little guy. Our son went under anesthesia to have work done. Absolutely everything was explained to us and the entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable and open to questions. Usually you either find a good dentist and awful staff or vice versa, but in this case Dr. Verma and his entire staff are all superb. Our son likes Dr. Verma and isn't afraid to go to the dentist and that alone makes a huge statement.

If only every child could have a dentist like Dr. Verma....no one would ever fear a trip to the dentist again. From the front desk to the exam room, every minute of my time there with my little girl was wonderful. My 7 year old daughter now looks forward to her dentist visits. She had 2 teeth extracted, and not one tear did she shed. Dr. Verma's bedside manner is incredible; As a mommy, watching the procedure made me nervous for her, but knowing she was in such good hands even eradicated my OWN fear of the dentist.
