Dr. Bethell's practice is set up to make patients feel comfortable about their care. He uses an X-ray device that delivers far less radiation than traditional devices and focuses on a pain-free experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and overall it's the best case scenario if you have to go to the dentist. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Robin Bethell and his team of dental professionals are here with one purpose: to make dentistry more efficient, healthy, and affordable. He is is a whole health family dentist, believes in Biological dentistry, and has a vast skill set. He earned his DDS from Pacific School of Dentistry in 2007 at the young age of 23. A baby in the field, he pursued additional hospital training through a residency with UCSF and the VA hospital. Still wanting more, he completed a 2 week internship in Pediatric dentistry alongside Harvard pediatric residents. He then started private practice, focused on Adult Cosmetic Dentistry, in San Diego. Having learned much, he decided to help a dentist friend in Dallas start a family dental clinic in Fort Worth, Texas. Somewhere in his adventures, he met some great Austinites, and fell in love with Austin. Now, he lives and works in his favorite city, treating his favorite people (the wonderful people of Austin), in the best dental atmosphere imaginable. His love for nature and healthy/sustainable living are evident in the culture and atmosphere he created at Forest Family Dentistry in Austin.
With the help of friend and colleague, Dr. Alexis Tessler (orthodontist), Forest Family patients will receive complete family dental care under one beautiful roof. Dr. Bethell and the Forest Family Team continue to advance in education and efficiency, providing only the best dental care at an affordable price. Forest Family Dentistry is conveniently located next to the Alamo Draft House and BodyBusiness in The Village forest.

I had a particularly awful experience. They spent the whole time trying to sell me their $500 deep cleaning services. They didn't ever clean my teeth, even though that is the only reason I went to the dentist. When I mentioned this, they apologized that they had forgotten and offered to do the cleaning, but by that time it had already been 2 hours I had to go to work. Even after I told 3 different people that my teeth hadn't been cleaned, they tried to include a cleaning on the bill to my insurance company. Clearly, they are more focused on selling advanced cleaning procedures than they are on performing normal dental procedures. Everyone was perfectly nice and pleasant, but I won't ever go back to this particular office.

Fast and actually fun. Painless cleaning and exam. Interesting people! I could stay and chat all day (in the "rabbit" room). But I know they are busy professionals who really seem to care about their patients. Actually enjoyed it!

Dr. Bethell was easy to talk to, listened to me, very professional and I will most likely follow his treatment plan. His treatment coordinator didn't do her job beforehand which meant that I left with an inaccurate treatment plan, very disappointing. But having liked the Dr. I will be following up with the office once they have accurately prepared a plan.

It's not often that going to the dentist is an enjoyable experience, but the entire staff in this office make it as pleasant as possible. Newer technology makes the whole thing virtually painless (coming from someone who usually freaks out in a dental chair) and I've never met a friendlier team that works so well together and speaks so highly of one another.

Despite my fear of dental visits, this was the first time I got to tell my story & all staff was super understanding, welcoming & friendly. Having netflix on the ceiling helped keep me less focused on the dental stuff. The free whitening was an added plus. I saw dr. Amy who was laid back, focused & in tune with my needs. I'm going back for another cleaning in 6 months!

I was really impressed by the friendliness of the entire staff. I had high expectations because I'd heard such good things. Dr. Bethell and the rest of his team exceeded all of those expectations. The duration of my appointment was longer than I expected, but I really cannot complain because they were very thorough and took their time to explain so much I never knew about my teeth. I was also happy I didn't get berated about flossing!

The amenities--like Netflix on the ceiling while you get your cleaning done--certainly take any potential stress out of the equation. Dr Bethell has the most technologically advanced dentist office I have ever been in. To start off, the check in was super-fast and very friendly. The X-rays were done without film, completely connected to the computer using a handheld x-ray gun. After that, they did a 360 degree x-ray using this really cool machine. All of which was super-fast and since there was no film, it wasn't uncomfortable. The tech was really friendly and did a good job explaining it all. I got put in the Fox room, which had a TV on the ceiling with Netflix, Star Trek all the way. The dental hygienist cleaned my teeth with a supersonic-jackhammer that resembled a drill. It was really neat... I think they called it a cavitron. I was really impressed by the when the doctor came in. He did a great job of explaining everything. They used a pen camera to take pictures of my teeth and then put it on the ceiling monitor to explain to me. He was really nice and patient. All and all I loved my visit, so much in fact, that I’m going back for a same day filling! Haha.

Imagine a visit to the dentist that was pleasant! Everyone was friendly, considerate, and a delight to deal with. My cleaning was prompt and thorough and Dr. Bethell's professional manner and prompt response to my questions were reassuring. My techs Megan and Brittany were knowledge, kind, and professional. And as I was leaving, there was a three year old boy who had been treated and obviously enjoyed it. He was laughing and clowning and showing off his teeth to everyone, even me, whom he had never seen. Overall, a delightful experience. I'm glad I found this office.

Great experience. Check in was super fast, all staff were extremely friendly and personable. I love that the office doesn't look like a typical dentist office, instead it's very inviting. Dr. Bethel was very nice, thorough and answered all my questions. The only thing I didn't like was the teeth cleaning, but who does?

I've been going to the same dentist for 18 years, and after moving to Austin I had a severe toothache, Dr Bethell got it taken care of in minutes and gave me multiple treatment options. Also This is the first time I've left a dentist office not in a horrible mood, and not feeling like I got punched in the face by Andre the giant! I don't think I will go anywhere else
